Beautiful palace with so much to look at & take in. We spent just as long in the gardens. It was a shame the wine cellars were closed the day we went ( think they are only open at weekends)

How beautiful is this Baroque palace, built for the prince-bishops. It’s one of the largest in Germany and is surrounded by gorgeous gardens - what’s with the lawns, though? Well worth a look is the Court Chapel, which can be accessed from the residence courtyard - ridiculously ornate!
This a absolutely beautiful place. The baroque architecture. This was built in 1744 for the prince - bishop. Ceilings frescoes by Tiepolo. All surrounded by Franconian vineyards. Buy the 12 picture postcard because no inside photos. Gorgeous rooms of gold and huge staircases. Beautiful gardens surround it.
A must see!
Take the tour. You are shown the most amazing rooms! In my opinion, better than Versailles or the Green Vault. It's just your group in each room so you get too ogle all you want. Definitely a must do tour
Don’t miss this on your visit to Wurzburg. Stunning building beautifully presented and restored, especially given what we the Allies did to Wurzburg only 3 weeks before the end of the Second World War. Best value for The 5 euros you will spend to get to seethe Bulding and the fabulous garden.
A large and imposing building in the city. We visited at lunchtime to avoid large tour groups and 15 euro for two adults was excellent value. The Tieplo ceilings are rightly famous and worth the price alone. Spend time going around the rooms much to admire in art and furnishings. The gardens are excellent and highly recommend the cafe restaurant.
