“Amazing!”
Reviewed 19 October 2013

Almost any church in Germany is beautiful, but this one is just a masterpiece. The paintings are just phenomenal! This is just down the street from The Residenz and you can leave your car parked there and just walk down to the church. It is well worth a visit!

This Cathedral is well worth a visit - beautiful interior. It is also very peaceful. There are holy relics and paintings to view. A very restful spot.

“My favorite church in Germany”
Reviewed 6 August 2013

I've seen a lot of churches, but this is my favorite. I know some people don't like the mix of modern and Romanesque and baroque, but I loved it. It really spoke to me from a deep theological place. Note that all of the major churches in Wurzburg close for tourists during mass, so plan accordingly.

“Not what you would expect”
Reviewed 22 May 2013

This church has been almost fully rebuilt after damage in the war. Some of the frescos remain but what is really unusual were the modern paintings. I've never seen anything like it before.

“Bizarre”
Reviewed 28 April 2013

The interior of the dome was destroyed in the second world war and was rebuilt in a very bizarre way - it combines baroque with modern elements. Dont't expect too much but don't miss it either.
