This is a happening place, constantly busy. It seems reservations are essential if you want to have a leisurely meal, otherwise, you can (as we did) go earlier and be out earlier to have the table meet its reservation committments. Staff are young and friendly, all speak english for those who don't speak German. The pizzas are enormous, the size of hubcaps - about 45 cm and overhang the plate, and there is no greasiness etc about them. Toppings are a little light on though. A nice touch is that the plates are heated/warmed. Pasta dishes are great too. Drinks are wide and various including cocktails, wines, beer and spirits. Surprisingly, the coffee was good too. We went back a couple of times. A couple of tips, order you pizza by halves and make a booking (there can be queues). Relatively cheap night out as far as food is concerned.

The place is very nice and located just outside the city center, with a good panoramic view on the castle and close to the Main river.
The pizza is good even if not cheaper, the service is good.

Good and huge pizza that can easily be shared. Love the location among the river Main. also, they serve nice cocktails. worth a visit when you bring some time to wait for a table in the evening.

I want to say as a first thing that I´m Italian, I come from Naples where the best pizza is made/invented.

By the way, to be in Germany this is a good restaurant to eat something different but please don´t think that the pizza you eat there is the same that you can eat in Naples.

It is completely different.

I give 3 stars because I don´t like when restaurants claim to be Italian but they have only the name which is Italian.

p.s. I appreciated the Sofia Loren´s photo on the stairs to the bathroom , probably no one knows her :)

We decided to eat here on the spur of the moment. On a Sunday evening, at around 7 pm, the restaurant was full. We sat at the bar while waiting for a table. They said it would be a ten minute wait and they were right.

The friendly young waitress served us in English. We ordered the tomato soup and two pizzas for three people. The pizza was huge and literally hangs off the plate. Unless you are famished and have a large appetite, I suggest you share a pizza. We did that and it was enough food for two. Our friend had a pizza to himself and could barely finish it. The pizza has thin crust dough so if you don't like that don't bother ordering it. Otherwise, I strongly suggest it.

The atmosphere was nice, you can see the people working in the kitchen, the staff was friendly and the price was unbelievably cheap for the quality of food and atmosphere. A must for the budget traveler. We ordered two pizzas, a soup ad two beers and it cost 25 Euros.

Definitely worth it if you want Italian food.
