First of all the staff in the hotel was russian, and not that professional as the staff in hotels can be. the rooms were really dirty;some weird white substance on a carpet and in the bathroom. also it was a bit cold to stay in December, there was only one electrical battery which worked bad. The furniture were old. over al,l the room was big and spacious, the breakfasts-tasty. location is perfect, about 15 minutes to the famous Gates.the metro station is like 6 minutes walk. it was hard to find the hotel without GPS,especially a street the hotel is located. The price is low,so I can skip all the incoveniences.

We use this hotel for a 3 days trip to Berlin. We had a big enought and clean room, with all neccessary things in. The t was good and taste good. Don't expect something special for this price.
The central location and the goodvalue are the biggest pros or this hotel. We rent bikes in E-Bike-Tours in the Chauseestrasse, only around 200m from the hotel.
We used the park house on Luisenstrasse near Charité for the car for 32€ in summary.

I've been staying at Mikon Hotel for 5 days during New Year holidays and the experience was quite disappointing.
The strenghts are the location in the city center (close to a very strategic stop of the U-bahn) and the cleanliness of the room and bathroom.
Among the downsides: a really rude and unpolite staff, a very poor breakfast and mannerless waitresses (we've been rounded on because we dared keep sitting at the breakfast table some more minutes after 10 o'clock) and noisy rooms due to the closeness to the Charitè Hospital (my boyfriend actually slept very well but I could hear ambulances all night long - so maybe it depends on the quality of your sleep!). We asked for a double bed and we had twin beds and also the bathroom supplies were poor.
The hotel wasn't cheap, but still more economic than others in the same period.

A minimalistic but very practical hotel, close to underground Line 6.
Very good breakfast and internet connection.
Ideal option if your are going to be outside all day.
The service is friendly and efficient.

As we got quite a deal on the fee we did not expect anyhing special. And that is exactly what we got. In the positive corner: clean bed linen, clean toilet and the location in the center of the city. In the not so positive corner: unimpressive basic breakfast, unclean room, unhappy and unfriendly staff, no light or electricity in the bathroom and the receptionist who when informed about the light problem just said "oh, we know. We are waiting for the guy to fix it". Not even an apology for not informing us about it at all.

The location is amazing if you are in rush or wanna be in the middle of all action,BUT, do not expect 5 star hotel. It is kind of mix between soviet style hotel and now a days utilities . I like how helpful are some of the administrators.
Food is good ,but nothing special.
A big tip,its tricky to open the door from inside when you get out from the hotel, just ask at reception for details.
There is a elevator on your right just after you get in it. The price is very good compare to other hotels.
The Banhof (Train station) is only at least 10-15 minutes away by foot.
The rooms could be sound proof better, that will be only mine remark against the rooms. Otherwise it useful to get a sleep after long and tiresome walk in the city.

Room Tip: Rooms are not sound proof.

Hotel is ok, close to the center and the breakfast is good-basic things to eat. But stuff was unkind, without smile all the time. Bad thing was that I found someone's hair on the floor in bathroom. I don't know would I ever go back in that hotel, maybe because of the price.
