The hotel is cheap for a private room and a private bathroom. However the room is not clean and the sheets are not clean at all.
The internet was not working at all, the reception is not there all the time,
Far from the city, not recommended for tourists

It's important to start this off with, remember how much you paid for this hotel compared to other hotels in the area (generally 1/2 of what the rest are).

If you don't speak some German it could make it a little difficult to communicate as it didn't seem that English was prevalent.

Check in was really smooth, the rooms were nicer than they looked in the pictures on the website.

They also had a computer to use if you didn't have one (more about this in a minute), a room with a pool table and ability to buy beer and drinks from a vending machine (it's a nice place to hang out with friends), Breakfast is 5 Euros each and a good selection of meats, cereals, breads, fruits, teas, coffee, juices and you can squeeze oranges which are provided if you want fresh juice. Parking is free and to get to the S-Bahn you have two choices...walk about 1.6 kilometers or catch the bus around the corner. Only catch to the bus is that if you are getting something like a group pass you need to get it at the Train Station. So if you are staying for multiple days, make sure you get all of the passes you need and take the bus to and from the station. it's a nice walk if you go by foot.

Internet, as others have mentioned, it's spotty. The first night the wireless was showing up, but no one could connect to it. We spoke to the the next morning and then it was working the rest of the trip. Depending on which room you are in, you might get a great signal or no signal at all. depends where your at in the hotel. Should work in the lobby and in the lounge where the pool table is.

For the price, this is a great place to stay. We'll be staying here again the next time we are in Berlin!

Room Tip: If you want better internet signal get a room close to the stairs

A good place for 1-night stop in Berlin (eastern suburb), especially if you travel by car: quite and clean.

What I liked the most about the hotel:
- The room had all necessary equipment for a tired traveller: comfortable bed, TV-set, wardrobe, bathroom with shower;
- You can control the central-heating in the room that was very important for cold January weather;
- Free spacious parking in the inner yard;
- S-Bahn stop is situated in 20 minutes walk from the hotel. A trip from the hotel to Alexanderplatz by public transport will take about 45 minutes.
- Simple but home-like breakfast with cold snacks, tea and coffee (5 euros per person). You can even make fresh orange juice for yourself.

Some features that were not pleasant:
- No elevator in the hotel, only stairs, so heavy luggage is not recommended.
- The bathroom was not clean enough: I saw some traces of mildew/rust
- Towels and linen had a strong smell of bleach.

In general, it is a good choice for low-budget accommodation in Berlin.

Room Tip: If you have heavy luggage ask for a room at the 2nd floor at least.

I lived here for 5 days and the staff is very cold. Reception only opens from 2p.m to 10p.m and cannot call them out of this time. Internet connection is invisible in each room and I told them I want to change room, then the girl at reception told me that their rooms are full and they won't change anything because they think their internet is perfect. However, they don't want to check with me and I know they still have many free rooms due to many checked out people. During my stay, there are some tourists came after 10p.m and have waited for more than 8 hours to check in, then they have to sleep on the floor at the lounge. Besides, the breakfast is poor in comparision with the 5euro payment and the location is aweful. Never come back again

I booked a room 2 weeks ago (B1 Alt Kaulsdorf 18) a day before i travelled to Berlin and got a confirmation through email but to my suprise when i got there they said my name was not in the system and i had to pay 7 euros more instead of 20 euros.Also i find the staff very unfriendly,upon arrival i waited on the reception and despite ringing their bell someone only came after some minutes,who pretended not be aware of my presence who then attended to me.About the room,
although the prices are reasonable the room was not properly cleaned full of dust on surfaces,foul smell in the hotel as well dirty curtains.Also,there was no no shower gel just a small soap and shampoo.
Further,i think there must be someone always on the reception desk not only from 2pm -10pm.When i was checking out the next day noone was there at the reception area i had to search for someone to give the keys to which i find not good and its not in a quite location though in outskirts but close to the highway.
The only thing that i enjoyed during my stay was their free WLAN.

We traveled to Berling with my mother who has bad feet and my sister who is a teenager. We wanted just a simple good night sleep and we did not mind it was long way to the centrum because you could walk to a busstop where the buss would take us to any of the three U or S bahn stations. The closest Buss stop was close enough even for my mother. The Wuhletal station is maybe the closest if you want to walk there, my mom could not but me and my sister would sometimes walk. it was really beautiful road and pleasure to us to do the walk there. The Chinese restaurant nearby was exellent and great value for money, you could eat the buffet for only 6,90 and they have thai, chisese and Sushi. So location was really not a problem for us. The rooms were clean and simple lots of white in interior, they did not clean the rooms or change the towels during out 3 night stay but it was not big problem for us. The breakfast was good but we kinda would have liked if there was more green stuff to put on the bread as there only was meat and cheese. Great internet acces downstairs. I liked that this hotel was so budget but still so clean and it was beautifully located in not too noisy area. There was not anyone on the front disk when we arrived at 11 morning and we had to wait to 14 someone to let us check in. The staff generally does not speak english well in eastern part of berlin, but one girl who worked there at the hotel did. I will stay here again. It is a great value for money. I recommend everyone to buy the berlin ticket for several days in berlin so you dont have to worry about carrying money for ubahn, bus and sbahn as you can use the same one.
