A great hotel in Central Berlin within walking distance of Museum Island and Unter Den Linden and on the Open Top Bus route. Very helpful staff and lovely ambience in the bar area. Very good breakfast, decor, rooms and cleanliness. Will definitely return!

I have recently stayed in the hotel whilst on a business trip to Berlin. I didn't pick the hotel myself, as it was rather booked by the firm mostly due to its proximity to the German federal ministries. Indeed the hotel is located just across the street from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a short walk to the Ministry of Justice. The hotel offers easy access to public transport, as it is situated at a 3 minute walk to the U2 Hausvogteiplatz stop and a couple of minutes more to the Mitte U-Bahn Hub (U2 and U6).

Rooms are a good size, although the bathroom is a bit small. Cleanliness was also very good.

The down side of the hotel, is the level of noise in it. This is a tour group hotel and as such the corridors tend to be loud and full with the din of people sharing their daily experiences with one another. Also, being such a hotel, the breakfast room tends to be full and loud with the comings and goings on the groups. As the breakfast situation itself may not be helped, the hotel can see to have better acoustic association in the rooms, so as to prevent noises from the hallways entering the them.

Service is on the average side. At check-in the woman at the front desk thought that I was booked for a twin room and during the check-out I was asked about my 3 nights stay, although I only stayed for a duration of 2.

Another point which the management of the hotel should confront is the tendency of the its guests to smoke just in front of its front door. And so, despite the hotel being a smoke free hotel, one ends up entering it under a cloud of smoke.

Dear guest, We would like to use the opportunity to thank you for your very detailed feedback. As we constantly trying to improve our services we are very grateful for every feedback. We are sorry to hear that you experienced the hotel to be very noisy. We can reassure that we are not a hotel with a lot of groups staying with us. Thank you for your comments rearding the smokers in front of the hotel. Most of our guests are using the inner court yard to smoke, so they do not have contact to anyone entering the hotel. Nevertheless we would be very glad if you would visit us again.

Kind regards,

Your team of the ARCOTEL John F

Hotel is in a great location close to most of the major attractions. Rooms are very nice and clean. Reception was very helpful and kind. Best part of the hotel is the sauna/steam room on the top floor – great way to unwind after a day of site seeing. Definitely recommend
this hotel!

We stayed here for three nights and found this to be the perfect location for walking to the Museum Island as well as in the other direction to the Brandenburg Gate. Decoration in the room was trendy, everything was clean and spotless, and the staff was friendly and very helpful. We did not take breakfast as there were lots of cafes and restaurants near by. Parking available at a garage down the street for 20 euros per day. Couldn't ask for more, and the price for the room was more than reasonable. We would definitely stay here again, and will consider Arcotels in other locations because of the positive experience we had here.

First proper trip to Berlin, stayed here twice (with a three day break in between) the first time was slightly better than the 2nd mainly down to the wifi connectivity during the first stay was better than the 2nd.

Rooms were nice and pleasant, breakfast was good with a great selection of items.

On the whole the staff were helpful and very pleasant.

Hotel noise itself was quiet but no parking at the hotel itself, about a 10 minute walk to the car park they recommend.

Room Tip: I found the best rooms off wifi were in the middle of the hotel, the rooms at the corners seemed to...

Stayed 2 nights. Wifi signal was weak and could not access the internet. Was asked to pay for a high-speed service; I protested and was given it without charge, but still could barely access the internet and was forced to work in the lobby. The staff were not keen to be helpful, but were obliging, if minimally. Don't expect bakeries or quaint cafés in this neighbourhood. Strictly for high-brow business lunches or swanky meals.
Excellent breakfast; obnoxious music in the lobby in the evening.

The location of this hotel is excellent. We walked most places we wanted to go. The construction going on in the area is somewhat of a distraction but didn't bother us as far as noise, etc.

The staff was very friendly, helpful, and gave us a lot of useful information. Room was nice and clean with free wifi. Some English channels on TV. Duvet on bed is short if you are tall. A/C worked better than most.

Breakfast was good and restocked regularly. Large selection of items available. Happy with our stay and would stay here again.
