We stayed at Axel for 3 nights and had lots of fun the whole time. The room had a good view but narrow windows, but the bed was quite comfortable. The bathroom was split in two, with the shower/tub and the sink in the room, visible from the bed. Overall the room was very nice. On the 6th floor there is a hot tub, sauna, steam room, and gym overlooking the neighbourhood. These were all quite nice and usually busy. As well, we got massages offered within the hotel, and they were excellent. Reasonably priced and available from 1300 - 2300. The restaurant downstairs has good burgers and a good drinks selection. Around the hotel, the neighbourhood is very nice, and is very central to the gay district. About 5 minutes away (walking) is the U-Bahn, and it's about a block away from the shopping centre KaDeWe. It's tough NOT to have fun when you're staying here, and I would recommend it to any gay couple.
