This is a great hotel. In terms of location it may not be in the centre of Berlin, but the tram to Alexanderplatz is *literally* outside the hotel, and Landsberger Allee S-Bahn station is right there too, which is on the S41/42 Ring line. You're not going to have any problems getting to wherever you want to go, basically. Across the road you've got a bakery and a couple of shops, and round the corner from that is a nice wee Italian restaurant. There's even a Burger King diagonally across from the hotel...
The hotel itself is very swanky. The reception area is massive with helpful staff. When I got to my room, I was pretty chuffed with it. Nice big bed, a comfy chair with a bean bag to put my feet on, and the poshest toilet I think I've ever been in. There's even a speaker in there so you can hear the TV while you're brushing your teeth in the morning (assuming Sie sprechen Deutsche). The room felt like a real treat, especially for the price I paid for it. I also liked that if I didn't want my towels to be washed, I could just hang a sign on my door saying to leave them - nobody really needs fresh towels every day.
The nearest thing to quibbles I would have are the free internet isn't particularly fast, but you can upgrade to a faster network if need be - for a price, obviously! Also, I kept getting static shocks when pressing the lift button, but that was because of the trainers I was wearing really - all it means is the carpets are nice and thick. And I found it a bit daft that every day I would come back to find another apple on my bedside table - joining the ones I'd left uneaten. There were five apples by the end... But none of those things come even close to warranting downgrading the hotel - I just mention them for the sake of it really.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this place to a friend.
