Nothing bad to be said about the hotel. It is a really huge hotel that tries- and mostly succeeds- to be a "design hotel". All themed very white. Staff professional and even friendly. Minus points for the fact that if you want to have fast WiFi they charge you extra. The big downside though is the location: on a highway, next to a cheap- ish shopping centre with basically nothing in a actual walking distance except a Burger King and a gas station.

Dear Wienerwuerstl,

thank you for your review. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay with us. In fact, we offer free WiFi all over the hotel. Its speed is reasonable for any e-mail or surfing purpose. Yet, as we’ve put allot of recourses into our WiFi System update, we do ask for a fee in order to use high-speed e.g. for HD-Streaming or video conferences. Please note that there is no highway close to our hotel. Still we are located very conveniently to multiple means of public transportation heading either downtown (10 minutes) or both airports.
As you appreciate our design we are looking forward to welcome you back to the andel’s Hotel Berlin.

Best regards from Berlin
Your andel’s Hotel Berlin Team

New hotel in east Berlin, easy to reach by car and public transport. Nice well equipped rooms, with modern design (not as good as other Andel's Hotels I've been), great breakfast buffet with variety of food including my favourite sausages and pretzels (try them with sweet mustard!).

One disadvantage is size of hotel, it's huge and I would expect that fully booked and with some conference around it might be crowded.

I was there for 5 days to attend the ITB.
The check-in was very quick (less than 5minutes, i booked with booking.com for a very reasonable price as it was a high season I was very lucky).
The hotel is just perfect, my room was spacious with a green color theme, the service is very good (used to order my dinner in my room as i was back to the hotel very late at night after a whole day of work, the room service is available 24/24 and the food was just delicious).
The breakfast too is various.
The staff was very nice and available anytime for any request.
I recommend this hotel to everyone the only negative point for me was the location (too far from the ITB exhibition, about 40 min by taxi) but i would go back there for sure!

We were staying at this hotel for 4 days in December 2013.
I'll start with the check-in - all the process took less than 5 minutes and staff members were extremely efficient and polite. Since this was our first visit to Berlin, we were grateful for explanations and recommendations they gave us regarding public transportation system, tickets prices, places to visit etc.
This hotel is a great example of modern and functional design - from beautiful lobby you get to modern lift with secure access that requires to swipe the room key card to get to desired floor. Once you get to your room - first thing that you see is that room is very spacious with large bathroom - once again, everything is with modern and functional design that allows optimal use of space. Everything is spotless - room maids do a great job there. In the room you have flat TV, music player and tea and coffee kit. You also get a safe box for all your valuable belongings.
The hotel is of square shape - some of the rooms are overlooking the surrounding streets, while others are overlooking the inner yard, which was the case with our room, but it was OK, since we were out most of the time.
In the hotel you'll also find fully equipped spa with hot tub, dry and wet sauna etc. Be advised that according to German tradition, some of the guest are nude during their stay in sauna or in the hot tabs. Just mentioning it, since that may be a bit uncomfortable at times. In any case, hot sauna can be "Grand finale" for day of outside exploring in freezing weather of December.
Breakfast was great and beautifully served - we enjoyed it very much and there was something for everyone.
Hotel is strategically located near the tram stop. From there you can get anywhere you want in 10 minutes or so. It is also in a very quite neighborhood, with absolutely no noise disturbance of any kind.
Bottom line - excellent hotel and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Berlin without spending a fortune on hotels in the city center. With Berlin's excellent public transportation system - there is absolutely no point to pay more to stay in the center.

This is an outstanding hotel for many reasons. We were greeted at reception by a very friendly and competent member of staff who explained everything very clearly and made us feel very welcome. We were made to feel very secure by the fact that you need to swipe your card key in the lift to activate it. The rooms all seem to be standard and very adequate. The décor is modern and very pleasant and everywhere was spotless. The bathroom was heavenly, with two glass compartments, one containing a toilet and one containing a walk in shower, plus a sink, bath and speakers for the television sound. Toiletries were provided on a daily basis, including shower cap, cotton buds and slippers! All facilities were excellent, including air con, safe, television and wi-fi. There is also access to a computer and printer near reception. Breakfast was mayhem but delicious, with a wide variety to choose from. We will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Make sure you are allocated a non-smoking room.

I stayed at the Andel's hotel Berlin in August 2014 for 3 nights.
The hotel is situated at the Tram and S-Train stop Landsberger Allee from which you are at the Alexanderplatz in 10 minutes by Tram and in hipster-quarter Prenzlauer Berg by S-Train in 5 minutes. The location is thus perfect!

The hotel is a mixture between a holiday hotel and a business hotel - at least in my opinion. The check-in was really fast and the friendly lady at the reception gave me a nice room on the 11th floor. Unfortunately the Wifi connection in the 11th floor was not very good, however, in the lobby it was good and I didn't need internet on the room. Internet up to 512 kbit/s is free of charge, up to 10 Mbit/s one has to pay (I guess it was 2 Euros per hour or 15 Euros per 24 hours).

The room was very modern with a nice bathroom and quite large. It had a large wardrobe containing a safe, a kettle with complimentary coffee and a minibar. The wardrobe itself had enough storage space, however the uppermost shelf was hard to reach without a chair. The room contained a flatscreen TV and a DVD player, a desk with a lamp, two comfortable single beds and an armchair. The airconditioning was not the most silent I have ever seen, but worked sufficiently well. The curtains darkened the room really well, nevertheless light from the bathroom was shining into the room through a glass behind the bathroom mirror, which was a bit annoying. The room itself was soundproof and you didn't hear anything from other rooms or the outside.

The bathroom itself had a shower (a bit loud inside) and a bathtub. This was a big plus. The bathroom was spacious, yet I couldn't figure out how to activate the exhaust hood. Big and small towels were provided together with facecloths as well as complimentary toiletries. A nice thing was that there are speakers in the bathroom which provide sound from the TV.

The breakfast was crowded, but the offering and the quality of the foods were really good. Different breads, eggs, sausages, ham, bacon, different cheeses, yoghurts, juices, jams, sweet stuff like waffles, etc. were provided. And that is just a fraction of the buffet! In Berlin it is not really common to have breakfast included, this one was definately worth it!

Concluding I can say that the stay at Andel's hotel Berlin was a really good experience, except for some minor things like the Wifi access or the crowded breakfast. I can recommend staying at this hotel also due to its location.

Room Tip: Take a room in the lower floors if you want/need Wifi access.
