“Great value and fantastic Mitte area location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 May 2011

I can't say enough good things about this this apartmenet hotel. The hotel, which opened in April 2001, is located in the Hackescher Market, in the Mitte area. Our room was on the sixth floor faced a inner courtyard that was shared with the office building (a little funky) was very quite at night. My wife, who is a light sleeper, slept very soundly. Our room had a medium sized refridgerator-freezer, microwave, two burner stove top, dishwasher, sink and kitchenware. We bought juice, pop and pastries at local shops and kept them in the refridgerator which made us feel more at home and relaxed. There was a small table with stolls and a comfy couch. The bed was nice and firm and very comfortable. The large flat screen television was on the wall in front of the bed at eye level. The closet was large with several drawers. All our clothes and suite cases fit into it making it feel less like a hotel your staying in for a couple of days. The bathroom was modern, sylish and very large with a large shower (no tub). There are many little shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs, bakeries, small grocery stores and the oldest drug store in berlin, 1821, are within a four minute walk of the hotel. In the old market area next to the hotel, restaurants set up tables and it becomes a outdoor cafe area with street musicans and performers there every night we were there. This makeVery cool. The hotel is only a five minute minute walk to the Museum Island and a one minute walk to a S-Bahn station. The street car stop is about one minute away. Eat at the Sophieneck restaurant for some surprising good german cuisine and try the grilled marinated Pork. Walk the back streets of the Mitte and you will find many very cool local beer gardens and local restaurants. There is free internet service in the lobby. The only problem was the hot tube was not hot and the sauna was cool also. The staff was exceptional; always very courteous and helpful.

We chose to stay at the Adina Aparthotel near the Hauptbahnhof, Berlin, having had a good experience in its sister hotel in Copenhagen. This was probably even better. Outstandingly good value, spacious, modern and clean rooms with a good inventory of kit. It is a perfect place to stay for a few days on a city break or for longer. The communal areas are comfortable; breakfast is simple but good and was included in the price. The views were excellent from the balcony. At first sight it seems out of the city centre but in reality it is a short walk to the U-Bahn or tram and the Reichstag is no more than 20 minutes away on foot. The swimming pool is a little on the small side but really that was the only niggle. Staff are great. Will definitely go back there when I run the Berlin half marathon next year.

Room Tip: Go for a balcony suite

Take bus 147 to Invalidenpark (1 stop) and the hotel is just a 1 min walk, otherwise it's 5 min walk from the station. Hotel is located on a quiet square.
Got a spacious room up on level 6 and had a view on the Reichstag. Breakfast is reasonable. Free WiFi at the Cafe next door. Pool and Sauna is loveley, though I didn't have much time to use it. The BIG benefit is actually the staff! They've been great. Berlin without Adina?- Not for me :-)

Excellent value for money with modern stylish furnishings and extremely helpful staff. Good tidy area in Mitte, with bakery/cafe in same block . Within 15- 20 minutes walk from Brandenburg Gate, with metro stations even closer (5 minutes).

The hotel itself is very nice: the rooms, the service, pool & all.
very quiet at night, and nothing around it is open after 8pm.

If you go for sight-seeing than the location is OK, but if you want to get a more lively sense of the city, than you better find something in the "cooler" neighborhoods, like Kreuzberg or Schöneberg.

What can I say, believe the reviews! I did and I was not disappointed. We stayed in a one-bedroomed apartment that was stylishly fitted out with everything you might need during your stay, in fact you could almost move in tomorrow. The staff were always friendly and courteous which, in fairness, is something I've come to expect when in Germany. The apartments are located close to Berlin's fantastic metro which gives you access to the entire city at (almost!) any time of the day. However, the neighbourhood in which the apartments are located is on a quiet square off the main road offering a much-needed dose of peace and quiet after 24 hours of sightseeing, shopping and clubbing. And in Berlin, 24 hours means 24 hours!

Traveled with family (wife and 1 child 11 yo) for a 3 days stay in Berlin.
The Aparthotel is located at walking distance from central station and close to Reichstag and Brandburg Tor (you can walk there in about 15 min. if you like).
Perfect service, cleaning and furniture. Completely equipped kitchen with oven, stovetop, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Bathroom with washing maschine and dryer. iPhone/iPod dock for listening or recharging.
Swimming pool, sauna and fitness room opened 'til 23.00.
Perfect location for family who needs to cook from themself (i.e. food allergy).
No wi-fi or broadband for free.
