This is a wonderful find. It's in a historic, vibrant neighbourhood that is quickly becoming more and more gentrified (read: popular and sought-out).

The quirky little notes everywhere are fun. The room layout is something special, with the bathroom counter and shower right up against the window. Strategic placement and availability of shades make it very practical so there shouldn't be any issue with privacy. It makes sense, once you get over the surprise. The shower is terrific, with the option to choose where you want the water to come from, and it's spacious so there is room to put your stuff down, have the door swing in so that the water doesn't drip all over the place in the rest of the bathroom. The shades (both curtains as well as blinds) are strategically placed to make sure you have privacy as well as control over the amount of light in your room.

The bed is heavenly. I haven't slept that well in a long time.

I also like their top-floor lounge, on the 7th floor. It's open 24-7 and you can go and grab tea, coffee and snacks whenever you feel like it. Alcohol is self-serve there as well. It's a nice space and they have a pretty decent offering during the day and night, as well as a good breakfast spread and kitchen in the mornings.

The only issue for me was noise - you could hear clanging and water running from pipes around you. I never heard my neighbours per se, just the mechanical sounds that are typical. It didn't prevent me from sleeping but it was perplexing as I usually don't hear those types of noises in hotels.

I was sorry to have only spent 2 nights there, as I could easily stay longer. I would not hesitate to recommend this place.

We got the first of many pleasant surprises during our stay at Casa Camper in Berlin's historic Mitte when we arrived, groggy from our overnight flight, and heard that our room was ready even at that hour. Torsten Wolter, the very engaging and efficient front office manager, gave us a quick orientation to the city and the hotel, offered adapters for our various electronics, and reminded us the top-floor bodega was open 24/7 for free sandwiches, snacks and drinks.

We found out soon enough how delicious everything there is--from the breakfast breads and pastries to the raspberry panna cotta, and the excellent coffee and loose-leaf teas.

If a hotel can have a sense of humor, this one does. The rooms have a wall-wide row of hooks opposite the comfy bed, and the Mayday lamp with a hook can be moved to wherever you need it. What initially struck us a somewhat weird layout, with the bathroom pushed to the front of the building, and having the only window, turned out to be an inspired way to get a better proportioned room and have natural light where you most want it.

This is definitely my preferred version of camping out.

Add lightning-quick free WiFi, excellent reading lamps, and that rainforest shower, and you may never want to leave your room. But because the hotel is situated within walking distance of some of Berlin's most compelling sites--Museum Island, the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate and the Berlin Wall Memorial among them --you will be inspired to set out every day with a map and a plan to explore the city. The helpful staff gave accurate and helpful info--yes, you really don't have to reserve a cab the night before; one arrives within minutes of a request--and requests for everything from an extra top sheet to a toothbrush were instantly answered.

We'd be happy to recommend Casa Camper as anyone's base camp in Berlin.

A few metres from the Ubahn and within easy access of all Berlin's major attractions, Casa Camper is refreshingly different to most inner-city hotels. The rooms are immaculate and all needs are catered for. Staff are helpful and friendly. The seventh-floor lounge and dining room is a real bonus, as the breakfasts are terrific and the fresh food available for the rest of the day - and night - provides so many options for all tastes and appetites. We will definitely stay there again when we visit Berlin or Barcelona. I'd recommend the adjoining restaurant, Dos Palillos, for superb food and a lovely ambience, and the camper shoe shop around the corner!

Casa Camper turned out to be more than we could wish for. The reality is so much better than the pictures! Modern luxury with a twist, extremely clean, comfortable huge bed, spacious rooms, top quality of products and materials. Location could not be better!!
Absolutely lovely people working there! Felt like everyone is genuinely happy with their job, that is very unusual feeling. Wonder how do they do recruitment? :-)

Hotel offers free access to drinks and snacks at the top floor restaurant/lounge. We hang around quite a few hours there...

Lots of great places to eat just around the corner. Try Wienbar for authentic lovely Italian food and ambience or Hashi for real Japanese. Both just across the square.
Casa Camper has it's own restaurant on the ground floor with a chef who previously worked at Il Bully. Unfortunately we couldn't make it this time so we'll have to come back.

I spent Easter with my best friend in Berlin and we really enjoyed our stay at Casa Camper. The location is great, the rooms spacious and well decorated - with fun. They propose excellent services: at Tentempié restaurant (last floor), you will have breakfast but can also eat snacks and have drinks 24/24. The sauna and the gym - cosy and elegant - are also avaialble any time. You can rent bicycles at the reception, very practical as Berlin is huge - just book the evening before if possible. The staff is extremely helpful, patient and nice. We will definitely come back.

Room Tip: Almost all the rooms are on on Weinmeisterstrasse, just a few on the other side, suggest you ask for a room on Weinmeisterstrasse, better arranged.
