Superb Restaurant just off Kurfurstendamm, offering excellent menu .
Traditional German dishes with English spoken by very attentive staff.
Large portions served at reasonable prices with good beer selection.
Would recommend as an alternative to the Hard Rock Cafe which is approx 50m away.

Very good, typical Berlin food, excellent kind service!
We went to the Gasthaus Krombach Saturday evening and it was full of guests, but we got a nice place. Immediately the waitress came and brought us the menu card, later took our order.
We ordered a Berliner Eisbein (very typical in Berlin in the winter time) and Medallions from pork with a pepper sauce. Only 15 minutes later we got our food and both was very good!
The restaurant is very tastefully decorated with photos and paintings from Berlin.
And what was very positive, too: in the Gasthaus Krombach was working two waitresses and one bar tender. One waitress welcomed us in a kind way and brought the menu card, the second waitress took our order and the bar tender brought our food. While we was eating the second waitress asked if is all ok or if we need something, but we didn’t. I was under the impression that all three work very well hand in hand.
Thanks to the service and the cook!
Also the value of money is excellent – we will come back!

Solo diner, mid-October about 2000 hours. Restaurant is located on Meinekestrasse less than a block off Kurfurstendamm. Very friendly and helpful owner/manager that evening, felt very welcomed even as a solo diner, which is sometimes not the case. Had a lovely glass of Berliner Pils vom fass (draught), a funny little jellied pork appetizer which was interesting, and the wiener schnitzel with of course potatoes. Good food, "old german" ambience with lots of dark wood. Good service. They do breakfast as well which I did not take advantage of but would try when there again. Recommended.

Delicious traditional German food, cozy atmosphere, and very reasonable prices.

We had a group of 4 people including one pesco-vegetarian and one gluten-free person, and everyone was well taken care of. The fish was particularly delicious.

Service was good. We love all beer in Germany, but we especially enjoyed the Weihenstephan we had here.

The person who told us about this restaurant thought that it might be owned by the same people as Zum Patzenhofer in the same block (other side of the street), but he wasn't sure. We ate at both, and some of us preferred one, some the other, but we would be happy to eat at either one again.
