“Hotel in a great location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 August 2013

I have stayed in this hotel several times and feel welcome every time. Very convenient location. Hotel is very clean and modern. There are loads of restaurants in the area and the hotel is right next to the S Bahn.

This is a great boutique hotel by all standards. The interior is tastefully decorated and the hotel has a lobby that just won't let you want to venture outside. There is no reception desk per se, but there is always someone to assist you. Service was perfect. Room: comfortable bed, effective air conditioning, free nespresso everyday, free wifi, one time free minibar refill (no alcohol), toiletries by rituals. Only one issue - the shower height couldn't be adjusted which kind of sucked. Breakfast was of high quality. Location: 2 min walk to Savignyplatz S-bahn stop. Lots of restaurants nearby. Highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Avoid street side rooms. If there is no option, then keep the windows closed.

The good:
- superb location: minutes from S-Bahn and very quick to get into centre of town. Savigny square and surrounding area is full of lovely restaurants and pubs with a great atmosphere, Ku-dam the shopping street is a few minutes walk away. So much nicer than centre of town. also plenty of places to have breakfast from as little as EUR 28 for a croissant & coffee!
- very stylish. I liked the black & white minimalist look etc.
- great breakfast. (18 euro, 12 if you commit for the whole stay in advance)
-very comfortable bed !!!
- free WIFI was OK but too slow for internet calls.

The less good:
- tiny room. It's 19sqm but on the top floor the eaves infringe and it is almost claustrophobic. There isn't enough storage for two people and the walls are marked because there is little space to move. thanks to the superb interior design it felt ok though.
- bar very expensive. 9 euro for a G&T ??!!
- I felt mislead by the website. The place is quite small, the lounge is also small and although very smart not a place you would want to spend a lot of time in. Not a problem for me personally.
- Air condition not nearly powerful enough on hot days.

Summary. I am glad I stayed there because it is a cool place and the super location. be aware of the poky rooms though. I would see this as 3 rather than 4 stars

I've booked this hotel on a very short note and at a very good rate. A very lucky choice, as it is a great boutique hotel

Check-in: very quick and personal, though I have to admit that it was a bit distracting at first that there is no front desk.

Room: very spacious, stylish and chic - everything in black grey and white, still very light with high ceilings. Very well appointed with a Nespresso machine and a free mini bar. Really good shower. My room was facing the street, which didn't bother me at all, actually it was a nice little extra, because it is still very quite and you get a Berlin feeling.

Overall (entrance, lobby, back yard, etc.): I can just repeat myself, but it is very stylish, very cool, very well appointed.

Location: very nice area with lots of cafes, bars and restaurant. Great to walk around The S-Bahn is conveniently located around the corner.

I'd come back anytime.

My wife and I spent a weekend at the hotel. I liked it a lot, as I think it's a cool, clean, convenient, and greatly located boutique hotel.

Personally, I liked the room, although some people may feel uncomfortable with having a semi-transparent shower inside the room. I also liked the lobby, the small backyard, and the savignyplats area in general.

The one comment I have is that you hear the train goes by if the window is open - but there's a fairly simple solution to that - close the window and turn on the A/C.

The breakfasts they serve look outstanding, although we didn't get a chance to have one.

A cool place - thank you so much! Just to let you know, we have beside our design bathroom type which you tried, also rooms with a "normal" separated bathroom.
I am looking forward to meeting you again!

Stayed 4 nights in this eclectic hotel. My preference is for small hotels with good design and this fitted the bill. Staff were very helpful - partiuclalry the bar staff when arriving late. There is no arrival desk but if you sit yourself down in one of the lounge chairs they will come and check you in.
It is away from the main tourist area but is next door to Savignyplatz station (with double glazing so you dont hear the train). 10 min stroll to the main shopping and because public transport is so good in Berlin very easy to reach tourist areas by train within 15 minutes. nice local restuarants to eat in. Lots of cafes to get breakfast in (or eat in the breakfast room). I will be back.

Room Tip: Rroms looking out on the garden are great
