“Best value for money accompanied by great location”
Reviewed 10 October 2010

The All Seasons hotel (formerly Arena ) in Alexanderplatz has a small crew that does his best to keep the visitor satisfied. The rooms are of medium size and they are quite quiet due to noise blocking windows. Breakfeast is very good and can keep one "running" for a long time.
The free Wi-Fi requires a password, but it still useful to get internet access. The location of the hotel near S/U Bahn stations makes it an ideal place for starting many trips. Shopping is also easy with Alexa and Galeria Kaufhof nearby.

As a hotel for B&B this is ideal. The breakfast is substantial and the staff were extremely helpful with advice for restaurants etc. As a small group we were not looking for the service and ambience expected of the more grand hotels, but this hotel provided all the other requirements. Would strongly suggest if you wanted a value for money establishment, close to all the sites....this is it. NOTE this hotel was previously called Arena. I mention this as we booked it under this name and the change of name caused a problem with our taxi service from the airport.

i was recommended by everybody to book into the Park Inn when staying in Berlin but it had no rooms available. A quick internet search threw up Arena as a hotel nearby. This hotel is very close to the Park Inn, so has all the handiness of a closeby train station and alot of action, yet is cheaper (from what i could tell). The rooms were a nice size, good shower, free coffee downstairs all day and also included free breakfast (which i missed so cant comment on it!!) Satellite tv was an added bonus.
We found it a really good base to explore Berlin

If you are looking for a good, inexpensive and well located hotel in Berlin, look no further than the Arena. An early morning flight meant an early arrival at the hotel and they were happy to look after my luggage for the day while I was out sightseeing.

The location is excellent, being right at Alexanderplatz which offers all forms of transport by which you can easily criss cross the city. (Buying a Berlin Welcome card is a great idea, giving unlimited transport access and discounts for many attractions, tours and cafes throughout this fantastic city) You can also pick up the Berlin round city bus tour just around the corner in Alexanderstrasse

A pleasant young man at reception was particularly helpful with tourist information and the breakfast at 5.50 euros is good value. My room was an ample size, clean and with a clean modern bathroom. Only drawback was the location of my room at the front of the hotel overlooking the road and tramtracks. Quite noisy, but I was so tired from my days out sightseeing that it wasn't too much of a problem.

Overall, a good choice of hotel.

great location just off alexanderplatz, probably one of the best locations to stay in Berlin. Rooms were quite big ( plenty of room for 2 baby cots that were provided), clean, and shower is great. Staff friendly. No tea/coffee facilities in the room which was a bit of a shame - but if you're looking for an affordable hotel in a great location, this is where to go!

I spent two nights this February (2010) at this hotel and I was quite pleased. As advertised it was clean, efficient, well managed and close to all attractions. This was my daughters first time staying in a German-style hotel, at 16 she has been spoiled staying at American-style hotels like Hilton’s and Marriott’s, with big rooms, flat screen TV’s with dozens of channels, big lobbies with a restaurant, bar, pool, exercise room, etc… However she quickly adapted and assimilated into what the hotel had to offer. She especially liked the breakfast. As for myself, when I travel to Europe I purposely seek out hotels such as this one. I like the cleanliness, the small rooms and the personal attention you get as I got at this hotel and the price for the value was just right. The location was great, one block off Alexanderplatz with access to rail lines, trolleys, taxies and great shops and malls with many different types restaurants within a two to three block radius. I felt safe and secure at this hotel especially traveling with my teenage daughter. I would recommend this hotel to others and I hope to return to Berlin shortly and I would very much consider staying at this hotel again.

This hotel was perfect - cheap, clean, nice room and friendly staff. I gat a rate of £25ppn through lastmin.com and it was perfect for our weekend trip. Location is very handy, especially for the nightlife in east Berlin, and the tube takes you to where you want to go really quickly.
