Kids of all ages love to play with LEGO pieces. The LEGO Land Discovery Centre Berlin offers hours and hours of valuable entertainment for kids (and grown-ups as well). Scattered throughout the place are large LEGO models of famous places and movie characters, for example right at the entrance they have models of some Berlin sites. Then there are lots of areas where they have LEGO pieces to build things by yourself. These are mostly the standard size, but they also have baby LEGO pieces (large enough so that they don’t fit in a mouth). For example they have an area with a race track with a steep ramp on which you try your own car construction (very popular with little carriers of a Y chromosome). Most children that I have seen were 6-8 years old but the place has entertainment to offer for all ages that enjoy playing with LEGO. At the entrance one gets a little plan with fields to put stamps so one can make sure to not miss an attraction.

Attractions:
One attraction is a little Choo Choo train (very slow and not scary, good for 3-years old and up) for guests to ride. Another attraction is a Movie theater where they play a short LEGO movie. They also have an obstacle course for ~3-6 year old children. There is a restaurant and a kid birthday party place (I guess this is more for the locals).

Other observations:
Entertainment is mostly offered in German but also in English and the employees also do speak English. Tickets are 14 euro per person. Make sure you got the opening hours on the day you plan to visit, and to be there at least 2 hours before they close. They close the doors and let nobody in anymore 2 hours before the place actually closes.

You would enjoy the place if you have children up to age 6. My daughter was 8, so she got bored in some activities. The factory tour is only in German, so she couldn’t atttend it :( The place is well designed and staff is trying their best to be helpful. The cafe doesn’t have any healthy options: pizza, sandwich and sweets.

Visited here for about 1.5 hours on our stay in Berlin. Could have stayed longer just we had other things planned. The staff were so friendly and so good with the kids 4 and 7. I would say that this is aimed more for younger kids. The staff were so good with the kids on the climbing wall, wizard ride and the factory. Even though none of us spoke German they tried so hard to make us feel welcome. Would definitely revisit.

I don’t think I would have been quite so annoyed about the price had it not been for the full price adult tickets! In fact, I don’t think you should have to pay for adults at all €20 to supervise your children in a small basic play zone, no thanks!
There were two ‘rides’ if they could even be called that, the youngest in our party was 6 years old and even they found it babyish. Best going to a soft play zone for €4-€5, adults free. Don’t waste your time, money or effort going here!

I was suggested to visit this centre with my 9 yr old son but I was a little disappointed. If you have already visited Legoland in Denmark those 2 short rides and possibility to build legos were not worth to pay 39 euros for it. I know that I could get reduced tickets from internet, but wasn't sure if we can go there, so I couldn't pay tickets 24 hrs before the visit.
The place was crowded, seemed that local childs had a lot of fun.

Hi eppelm,

thanks for your review.
We are a LEGOLAND Discovery Centre, an indoor playground for kids. The LEGOLAND in Billund is a resort and much bigger.
Thanks for your visit.
Best regards, the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Berlin
