“Cheap, clean, good location!”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

This hotel was reasonably priced, very clean, with helpful staff. Handy location - has good connections on tram/train/bus routes from right outside the building. It is a budget hotel so no hairdryer, kettle or shower gel/shampoo provided, and the glass-doored shower is IN the room so if you want privacy it might be worth paying a little extra to stay somewhere else. You do get towels, A/C, a telly, windows that open, and there are facilities for hot water in reception if you fancy bringing your own teabags. For a small deposit you can borrow a hairdryer or plug adapter from reception.

It's an Ibis Budget. You know what you're getting before you arrive.

Not a lot more to say, other than it was up to usual standards - clean, comfortable, great value - and most of all, amazing location, just a couple of minutes walk from Alexanderplatz.

Will definitely use again.

Stayed here just last week. Very good location, a few minutes walk to train station, bus outside to take you into Central Berlin, easy to walk to Central Berlin as well. Rooms were clean and accessible. Staff were very friendly and exceptionally helpful throughout our stay.

I stayed here a few years ago for a weekend so knew what to expect.

As this is a budget Ibis you do miss out on things like big comfy beds with fluffy towels, shower gel and tea making facilities.
However you do get the two basic towels and a bar of soap each (They give you new ones each day if needed) and there are drinks machines downstairs in the foyer.
If you need a hairdryer you can borrow one from the front desk for a deposit of 5 euros so no major problem there either.
The shower is actually part of the room so might be a problem for friends sharing but fine for couples or naturists! The toilet has it's own little ensuite room.
We arrived a bit early for check in but the front staff were friendly and welcoming and gave us a room on the 7th floor. There was no real noise from any other guest over the week and the cleaning ladies all seemed smiley as we passed each morning. The room looked out on to the busy Mollestrasse road but with the windows shut there is no traffic noise.
There is a really good super market called Kaisers which is a 5 min walk across the carpark so we bought food and toiletry supplies there instead.

The hotel is a short walk from Alexanderplatz station (About 10 mins but at least 5 of that is spent waiting at each set of traffic lights) or several tram lines stop just outside.

Room Tip: Borrow a hairdryer from the front desk and ask for a room facing Alexanderplatz for a view of the Tv...

I stayed here with my fiance for 3 nights. The hotel is very basic, clean, and the staff are very friendly. Location is great - about a 10 minute walk to Alexanderplatz, so very close by for the train station. We walked every day too and from the hotel right down to museum island - it's not that far, about 15-20 mins at a normal pace. However, there is a bus stop behind the hotel and a tram stop opposite, so public transport is very easy too.
The room was basic, but looked exactly like the pictures on the website, so that was no surprise, the bed was really comfy - like a memory foam type mattress - perfect! There are a couple of English tv channels - sky news and bbc worldwide, and a decent-ish German music channel (amongst all the local channels).
We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, instead we stopped at Agon Backstube just 2 mins across the road from the hotel (red canopy, tables/chairs outside, small place). We had a fresh baked roll, sausage, a pastry and tea/coffee each all for less than 8 Euros. They did offer a breakfast of rolls, meat, cheese etc for less than 6 Euros, but we wanted something substantial as we didn't really stop for lunch any day.
We had a room at the back of the hotel - the view was the Mercedes Benz Bank office block, so nothing spectacular, and the location is noisy in the morning from about 8am as it is on a main road, but other than traffic and normal day to day work going on it is a very quiet hotel / area. To be honest I didn't hear a single person the 3 nights we were there.
Will definitely be back - later this year hopefully!!

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel to avoid traffic noise if you want to open the window at all...

Found it easy , train to alexanderplatz ,come out the station and through the square and look for the large Mercedes bank building ,it's one block away 10 min walk and you can see it in the distance.we paid 80 euros for 2 nights and it was very functional and very clean.shower separate but it's a good one ,only towels and soap no shampoo etc .new flatscrren tv with sky news international .12 checkout and tip is to put the zzzz sign outside the door as cleaners tried to get in as we slept around 10 am.there is a very nice deli just over the road for breakfast and rolls that was very cheap and tasty ,no bar which was a miss but we had a beer at the restaurant next to the shop which was just behind the hotel .very central as all roads seems to lead to alexanderplatz so I would recommend as a cheap base which is spotlessly clean and functional

Room Tip: 7 floors all accessed with a lift
