“Landmark - then what?”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 December 2013

Yes, it's famous landmark, but still it is just a gate.

There's a good view to gate from Starbucks next to gate, take a cup of coffee and look gate from warm cafeteria :)

“Iconic landmark that has to be seen”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 December 2013

When you stand before the gate you will recall the many times you have seen it in various media formats. The fact that it has been there for many major historical events will not be lost on you. The rise of German empires, the wars, the defeats, and the walls rise and fall. It doesnt take long to see but take the time, dont miss it

“An icon of the past”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 December 2013

The Brandenburg Gate for me has always symbolised Berlin. It is resilient and has remained intact despite so much turmoil in the city and it was wonderful to be beside it.

“A must for any Berlin visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 December 2013

An amazing monument, it felt a lot grander and larger than I had imagined when I was standing underneath it! The architecture from close up and also far away is great. It does get very busy however I would not complain about this, as it is being enjoyed by all. A must-see.

“historic sight”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 December 2013

Smaller than I expected. Looks impressive when lit at night. A big open space beyond it, a plaza, there was a demonstration going on..... people on hunger strike, to bring attention to those Ashraf people who were taken hostage in Iraque
