Brandenburg Gate is just as awe-inspiring as anticipated. The surrounding areas are clean and interesting, as well. The hotel next to Brandenburg Gate is apparently the hotel where Michael Jackson dangled and young infant from the balcony window many years ago, creating a media storm.

Sadly we couldn't walk through it as it was cordoned off as there was an event in the park. It is very well maintained and a must see sight when going to berlin due to its history. Its also really close to the British embassy if you wanted a look at that.

Don't come to Berlin when football is on. We were unlucky enough to come on the weekend Germany were playing and as such, Brandenburg Gate was closed off unless you were entering to watch the game. Barriers everywhere; the whole weekend. Photos I took are not worth showing to friends and family. Disappointed.
