Wonderful wonderful place! The exhibits are fantastic and very impressive especially those from Babylon. This is a MUST when in Berlin and I now understand why it is one of the top tourist attractions here. Simply magical!

“Jaw dropping”
Reviewed 7 December 2013

Hadn't done my research prior to visiting this and. Simply wasn't prepared for the enormity of the museum and it's contents. Believe me each of the major exhibits is worth a museum trip in its own right. I haven't stopped raving about this museum since I got home. Detailed descriptions of the contents elsewhere so won't go into these. I'm just trying to get across the impact this place has. We went reasonably early and did not experience any queues. Use the cloakroom to deposit coats etc as is warm but comfortable in indoor clothing. Don't miss if you have any interest in ancient history.

“Just stunning”
Reviewed 7 December 2013

This is one of the world's great museums which will just blow you away. The 2 highlights are the Ishtar Gate from Babylon and the great altar from Pergamon, both fully reconstructed in vast spaces. Don't miss it.
