“CHEAP LUNCH”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 July 2014

As all have said - an impressive new square with ultra modern buildings such as the Sony Centre and Panorama Punkt and of course the U-Bahn stations. However,if you are looking for a quick snack or lunch, ignore the more expensive options and head for the Arkaden Potsdamer Platz. The Arkaden is a three storey shopping mall with an entrance off AltePotsdamer Str. (I think there are also other ways in).
On the first floor there are four or five food outlets of varying kinds including Asian and on the basement floor there are an even larger number which seem to be the most popular with local office workers, etc.
You are almost certain to find something to suit quickly served and at a reasonable price.I lunched at two different places and both were perfectly adequate. A special mention for the Asian Pavillion where I managed to drop my whole noodle meal on the floor. I was quickly ushered to another table, the mess was cleared up including a waitress carefully wiping a noodle off my shoe and I was brought a complete replacement meal without charge.

“Interesting Area”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

You can see a double row of bricks going across the street to signify where the original Berlin wall was. There are very modern buildings and we took a very fast elevator to the top at Panorama Punkt, where we could see all of Berlin. I think it cost the equivalent of $5. or maybe 5E.

“Modern Berlin”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014

Huge city square surrounded by modern buildings, shopping centers, cafes, restaurants and people. This is ultra modern Berlin. On a sunny weekday, this place can be very crowded and everyone seems to be in a hurry except tourists taking photos. We parked our bikes, grabbed some sandwiches and ate at the slopping green park facing the shopping mall and just watched the world goes by.

“Amazing christmas ambiance”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 June 2014

The Potsdamer Platz quarter is the modern face of the German capital. Impressive modern glass buildings and skyscrapers. It has really one of the most beautiful Christmas markets. I love Berlin !! One can appreciate the modern architecture with it's many cafés, restaurants, IMAX, only a short walk from the Brandenburg Gate and Holocaust memorial.
