If you like shopping then this is the place for you. For me it is like shopping in any major city anywhere in the world. This is why I rate it as average as it is no more or no less than any other.

Something for every budget type. Be sure to visit the KaDeWe (Kaufhaus Des Westens) which offers an extreme range of products. Jys tthe windowshopping by itself is a lot of fun. The rest of the Kurfurstendamm offers a wide range of shops from C&A and Karstadt to some very expensive brands. It will offer a wider range of shops than the Alexanderplatz.

Some high- end shops on the westerly end, but only a few names you may not find in your home town. Most stores close at 7 pm. Far too many mid- price ubiquitous chain retailers and so- so restaurants. People watching is okay. Would not recommend staying near here. There are a few charming streets nearby with antique shops etc.

Great shopping opportunities for everyone, whatever your budget, whether it's cheap & cheerful in H & M or top end designer brands such as Gucci, Hermes etc. Visit Kathe Wolfhart for Christmas decorations & the Ampelmann shop for some great souvenirs to bring home. Also, don't forget to make time to visit the famous KaDaWe department store - it's huge!

Lots of cafes etc to take a break when you're all shopped out.

Large boulevard with tremendous shopping. Don't miss the KDV dept. store and the restaurant on top! Beautiful street to stroll in nice weather.
