We stayed 4 nights at the hotel. The hotel is very aesthetically nice and a pleasant environment. It is also in a nice area in Berlin. AC was working good and had a nice tub in the room. Minibar was reasonably priced. Unfortunately breakfast was quite an expensive extra and the pool was closed. The one big negative we found was that you can hear your neighbours and people in the corridor VERY well. Something we found quite disturbing. Apart from that we found the hotel to be fine. Overall an average rating.

I was in Berlin as part of a conference and was accommodated in this classic hotel in Kurfuerstendamm.
The hotel has maintained its classic looks and at the same time has integrated the modern taste of Berlin.
The staff at reception are wonderful and always smiling and trying to help everyone at any moment during the day or night. A big thumbs up for their excellent service level.
The lobby still resembles the old classic architecture and grandeur with marble and shiny brass all over it. It was December and a very nice Christmas decoration was adorning the center part.
The rooms are big and spacious and have all the amenities needed. Big screen TV, nice and comfy bed, a big bathroom with separate shower and bathtub.
Although cold outside the entire hotel was warm enough that one could stay in short sleeves.
The buffet breakfast was enormous and the restaurant has two floors so you could easily pick a spot on street level and watch the busy people on the streets pass by or go on the 2nd floor and watch a more wide panorama of Kurfuerstendamm.
Wifi was good all over the hotel and in the rooms and the speed was in line with the evolution of the needs of the modern person.
I would heartily recommend it, be it a short or a long stay in Berlin.

We checked into 3 rooms 2 days ago with kids and parents. Parents complained to housekeeping that AC was not working so housekeeping provided them with a table fan. Fast forward to tonight when we became aware of the issue and brought it up with Julia [-] at the front desk. Disregarding the fact that she said that we mustn’t ‘blackmail’ her by writing a review (still confused by what that means), I do believe that she would have given us a different room had the hotel not been 100% full. What bothers us is why housekeeping chose to provide them with a fan had the instructions not come from management. Equally bothersome is why housekeeping did not escalate the issue given the horrible heat wave Berlin is currently experiencing. Barring this situation, we have had a pleasant stay at the hotel.
