Very impressed with this hotel! Staff, location, price - did not disappoint. The pool is possibly the best attraction so plan on taking time to relax there during your trip. We were traveling with family so booked for four people. Two bathrooms - two separate rooms - perfect to give parents a little down time after lots of quality time with the kids :)

We may have had one of the more modest rooms but it still disappointed. Small bathroom with shower over bath which was difficult to climb in and out, poor lighting and ventilation, poor towel quality. Broken hook on back of bathroom door.Beds Ok but no mattress topper for hard mattress and pillows had only one ill fitting case each. One free water on arrival but not replaced. Shabby chair. Safe at top of cupboard accessible and readable only by a six footer or standing on a chair!
Plus side, nice pool, decent breakfast, pleasant staff.
Location is far from old city and museums and main sights. Good public transport or long walk.

Beautiful hotel and lobby, up-to-date-fitness room (with full range of weights for women, which I appreciate!), nice bathroom. What we most appreciated was the concierge Mark's recommendation to rent their bikes for the day (only 18 Euros each). He gave us a map with his suggested itinerary, and we spent the following day (over 8 hours) riding to various locations of interest, parking the bikes at each location. (A total of 25 km of flat, easy riding.) It was a fantastic way to see the city and experience Berlin in all its beauty and history. Definitely recommend!

We stayed for 5 nights- 2 for a conference and 3 for vacation and I was totally pleased and would stay there again. Room was not real large but bathroom very modern and worked well, really quiet even though we were facing the street, good non-intrusive service provided-

The property has a long history. VIP Hotel in Berlin's haydays, Timmy, the painter, in the Lobby. Booking it today is a madhouse affair, direct Bristol rates are steeper than "booking" (.com) engines, GHA Discovery price for "Insiders" still higher, and "Breakfast Buffet" is a scam. €25 for Hotel guests, €19 if booked with the room, but the DISREPUTATIONAL reality is that third-party provider "REINHARD'S AM KUDAMM" (who actually offers the Buffet) allows Bristol to mark it up for his inhouse Hotel clients by up to €13 extra. It is the "outsourcing surcharge". That is not honest policy, especially when some breakfasters uncover it. Also, nice white table cloth was removed a while ago for cheapness and not for "more rustic looks". Highspeed Internet seems to be another reputational challenge for management, little stickers, silly restrictions, all from 101 "Don't Do It" Hospitality class. Clean up these acts, please.
