Three times top. For the hotel, the service and the food. And I forget the spectacular location, the best of Berlin. From arrival till departure you will be pampered as in the good old days. The lobby a little bit old fashion but still very attractive. Wide, beautiful corridors and courtyards bring a lot of light and rest in the hotel. The rooms are not modern but cozy furnished. All you need is available, in the room, in the – exceptional - bathroom. A bottle of champagne welcomes you. Efficient en friendly staff, helpful concierge, abundant breakfast, fantastic food. Except the style – we prefer a more modern furniture – this is one of the best hotels we ever visited. A real five star superior.

Room Tip: Ask a room with view over 'Unter den Linden' and as high as possible.

We stayed at the Hotel Adlon Kempinski for a business meeting. The hotel is in a great location, and, really, we were able to walk to just about anything we wanted to see, eat or do! We stayed in a superior deluxe room located in the "older" section of the hotel. Our room faced Wilhelmstraße. During the day, there might have been some street noise, but we did not seem to hear too much in the evening. The room had a lot of space and was clean. The bed was comfortable. Since we were on a business trip, we did not use all the amenities of the hotel, but we did spend a lot of evenings in the lobby lounge bar. While expensive, the service was wonderful and on the spot. We had one late dinner in the Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer, and because it was so late in the evening and we were very hungry, I can't really review it fairly. The breakfast had quite a lot of choices and was very good, but it was also very expensive! We would certainly recommend this hotel if you like larger, expensive hotels.

The Adlon Kempinski Hotel prides itself of an enviable location and truly excellent facilities. Located right next to the Brandenburg Gate, major embassies and the Deutsche Bundestag, this hotel is perfectly suited for both the leisurely traveller seeking location and comfort as well as people on business trips. Other major tourist attractions are all within walking distance making this hotel perfect for those who enjoy exploring a city on foot. The bedrooms are very well appointed and the beds very comfortable. Our junior suite enjoyed complete privacy and peace and quiet on the sixth floor and we were impressed with the level of silence that prevailed. One minor complaint that can be leveled at the rooms is that the bathrooms tend to be on the small side in comparison with the rooms themselves. Other than this they are equipped with all the necessary toiletries and petty luxuries that one comes to expect from a hotel of this calibre. Not that it effected us in any way for we do not normally seek total decadence but it must be said that there is no TV in the bathroom. The rest of the facilities in the hotel are comfortable and well organized. A very well stocked minibar was also very welcome! The gym is spacious and not crowded however it might need a slightly wider choice of equipment because I noticed a lack of equipment for chest and back exercises, the focus being mainly on legs and abs, together with the usual cardio machines. Free weights were also sorely missed. Breakfast is among the very best with a very wide choice and amazing eggs which come from some award winning farm! Truly a delight! And the live piano music during breakfast and throughout most of the day in the lobby was a pleasure in itself. The restaurant Le Petit Felix was also a pleasure to dine at and although termed as a casual dining place the standard is very high and the food worthy of a Michelin star. Needless to say the service overall in all departments was courteous and efficient and a small incident with the in room safe was dealt with with Teutonic efficiency. In conclusion, this hotel had been on my bucket list for a few years now and having had the privilege to experience it first hand I can not safely say that it stands up there among the best and a stay here, no matter how brief, is very much recommended.

Room Tip: Rooms are all very well insulated for sound and hence very quiet. We normally opt for rooms located...

Luckily, we had a lot of spare frequent flyer points lying around, unused, or we couldn't have afforded this hotel. It is very expensive but worth it in either points or Euros. Service is excellent. It is in a great location in the former East Berlin with a view of the Brandenburg Gate and in the same block and the French, British and American embassies. The room was impeccable, wood built ins, two sets of double-glazed windows so it was quiet and dark at night.

I might add that everything is expensive; the food, etc. But there are plenty of places to go in Berlin when you're there so you don't have to eat in the hotel unless you want to.

I stayed at the Adlon for 2 nights during a conference. I was given a room in the "residence" part of the hotel on the 3rd floor. The room was fully up to the standard of a 5 start hotel (spacious, clean, amenities provided and re-filled every day). Breakfast (buffet and eggs can be ordered a la carte) was nice with a good selection of different spreads, meats, breads etc.

Service was very good and the fact that wifi is included free of charge is a big bonus. I like that the Adlon is not following the trend of other 5 star hotels and charging ridiculous amounts of money for a service one can get for free in many hostels.

Location is outstanding: just in front of the Brandenburg Gate and many major sights are walkable: Reichstag, Bundeskanzleramt, Potsdamer Platz etc.

I can highly recommend this hotel and it is the service and the location that makes it a very special place.

Room Tip: ask for the residence part of the hotel. Rooms here seemed a bit more modern. I was on level 3.

Had a perfect 3-night stay at luxurious Adlon Kempinski. Beautifully located next to Brandenburger Tor and within walking distance to most tourist attraction (do try renting a bike though!). Great rooms, very spacious with separate walk-in closet. Service is absolutely a five star service, probably the best hotel service I have ever experienced. Price level is actually very reasonable and you get great value for money, especially compared to other European cities. Would definitely recommend staying here and will for sure return!

A traditional and classy hotel, situated in the heart of Berlin. Incredible service - top to bottom, always thinking of every little thing. Fresh coffee and snacks were waiting for us in the lobby when we left at 5 am for an early flight.
Excellent breakfast. Loved the iPad in the rooms with which you could order room service.
