“Another place with a hidden story”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 April 2014

This place was nicely renovated, and has some cute little stores, and overall very pleasant to visit. Just across the street of the Roter Rathaus, Berlin's historical municipality palace, this is the exact place where the N. Israel Kaufhaus once stood, since it was opened in 1815. For years only the Stolperstein memorial stones were there to tell the story, but now with all the new road construction, they too were moved (temporarily I hope).

“good for pleasant walking”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 April 2014

We spend there just 20minutes, during longer walking Berlin most interested places. Nicholas Quarter is very silence place with beautifull buildings, tenement houses, pleasant cafes and restaurants. We will back there to spend more time!

“Special unique and romantic”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 March 2014 via mobile

We loved the place the stores around it and the art galleries. It's the place to walk in the evenings and to eat out!
Make sure you look at the Russian church. Don't miss the galleries around this quarter. Can be combined with other exciting attractions in town

“Nice little area with it's own charming character”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 January 2014

We also came across this area by accident, but were glad we did. It is a nice rather quaint little area of a few paved streets with a few shops, bars and restaurants and has it's own small village feel about it. We were there in January but I can imagine it is very pretty to walk along the river in the summer, you could almost forget you were in a busy bustling major city. Worth a visit if you are nearby (it's walking distance from Alexanderplatz and Berlin Cathedral).

“Coziest place in Berlin”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 January 2014

If you love cozy places with a feeling of history, this will have a fresh air here, only one turn after crowded Alexanderplatz. There are some amazingly small cafés, where you could feel homey. And It's not so extremely expensive. There are usually some live street music, which will bring you somewhere else, because after leaving Nicholas Quarter and entering busiest streets, You won't believe this is the same city.

A MUST see place! (Especially for romantics)
