I am a great fan of this Hilton. I use to stay there once in a while. The service is smiling and effective, the lobby is attractive and very suitable for a pre-dinner drink, and the concierge is very helpful and knowledgeable of the city. And best of all, the location is unbeatable. The Hilton stands at the southern end of the wonderful Gendarmenmarkt, there is an U-Bahn-station virtually by the entrance, and many of Berlin's best restaurants are close.
Of course, this is not a hotel for those who want a secluded, romantic inn to celebrate their honeymoon, but that's not why you choose a Hilton anyway, is it? One negative note: the room was excessively hot this time (in March), and the air conditioning was not sufficiently effective. Had to open the windows to the sometimes noisy Mohrenstrasse at night.More
