My friend and I stayed in Berlin for 4 days, 3 nights, and used the Ibis Styles Mitte as a fairly central place to stay. As is typical of Ibis hotels, the room was cramped, but workable. There is no place to sit and write, and barely any place to put a suitcase. The bathroom arrangement was odd, and uncomfortable for two people who are not intimate: the shower has a clear glass door, and is directly opposite the sink, which sits in the middle of the room. Also, the shower door leaked water, given the absence of any kind of curb; it's an odd design, given that it's not for handicap access -- one must step up to the sink/shower area, anyway. The towels are skimpy, and there's no place to hang them so they can dry, which leaves one no choice but to put them on the floor for replacement, assuming you'd want a dry towel for your next shower. The breakfast buffet is wonderful, ample, and healthful, and the coffee is always good.
