“Good location”

This hotel, well, B&B really, is centrally located for the KuDamm (& KaDeWe), with the U-Bahn only minutes away. We have stayed here many times, but not in the last couple of years. Since then it has been re-furbished, & looks much better, although am not sure about the new lay out for the dinning room. However, the breakfast (which is 10 euro's extra) is fresh, with good coffee. However, the real stars are the staff: Jens his team make the holel worth staying at, if nothing else; they are friendly, happy & always willng to help.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good, but you can buy larger or smaller ones, plus a flatlet, which is fully equip...

We have been traveling for over a month now and we appreciate feeling at home in a hotel. That's exactly how we felt at Arthotel Connection in Berlin. If you are so inclined you are steps away from several gay bars and very close to all the action the gay scene has to offer. But you are also In a great location for shopping and getting to all museums- just a quick ride on the U and S lines... At the hotel, the breakfast is totally worth it and you get some fun and funky atmosphere in the breakfast room where you can meet other guests. We will miss our time in Berlin... Thank you, arthotel!!

Stay here for a weekend getaway. Great hotel and location. 5 minute walk to Kadewe and some good restuarants. Also easy access to the U BAHN. Yes it is more like a B&B than a hotel but great value for the money. The hotel is above a bar which I thought would be an issue however it was not. The rooms have double pained windows, so when they are close you do not hear much of anything. Rooms are nice though the bathroom needs to be a bit updated. The building is nice and does have an elevator. The guys who run the hotel are excellent and very helpful when it comes to where to go to eat and things to do. Yes it is in the gay area with easy access to the bars. Again though its not the normal hotel like a Hyatt or InterConnitnenal, but it is soo much better.

The hotel is on the third floor of a building -- it's more of a b&b than a hotel, with limited services. Good location in the city, in the middle of Berlin's gay district. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, though the decor is a little stuck in the 80s. Breakfast is excellent and the staff is friendly and helpful. The only drawback is noise level -- the door and walls are paper thin, and you do get a lot of spill-over from your neighbors or transactions at the front desk which are just down the short hall. Charming old fashioned elevator in the building. Overall, a good option for the price, just don't expect more than a comfortable room, good breakfast and some friendly smiles. Any other services one might expect from a hotel are not available here.

Room Tip: Room 4 is too close to front desk, noisy. Ask for a room away from the entrance.

My husband and I stayed at the Art Hotel for 4 nights during our 20th wedding anniversary European trip. The hotel was easy to find from the Wittenbergplatz station (we made use of public transport - so great in Berlin). It is in the lovely Schöneberg area, safe and great shopping too. The hotel is on the third floor of an old building that has been tastefully and artistically decorated. It is very neat and tidy. We loved the breakfast room with its beautiful atmosphere and candles every morning. The staff speak English well - communication therefore a pleasure. Right from the start Sasha (who got up an hour earlier to wait on our arrival at 7am, with office hours only starting at 8am) made us feel welcome. We stayed in a lovely large and airy bedroom (actually we had a flatlet with a little kitchenette too that wasn't part of our booking) and a very small ensuite, but clean with a good shower. The bed was very comfortable and the room was stylish. The hotel is very neat and tidy, the service (extra pillows, thanks Chuck) and any information needed were always delivered with a smile and the breakfast was the best we have had on our European trip - delicious. The neighbourhood is a little out of the city (3km) with Wittenberg station 5 minutes' walk from the hotel. We were able to walk (our preferred mode of transport, you see and experience so much more) to major attractions and then took the train back to the hotel after many hours on our feet. Sasha's hospitality, advice and friendly smile, made our stay one we will always remember. "Alles war in Ordnung" as he would say. Thank you all for a lovely stay Art Hotel, we will recommend you to all our friends in Australia.

I have visited Berlin a few times in the past and loved the city. By chance I stumbled across Art Hotel connection because the two previous places I stayed were fully booked. Art Hotel connection offered the same excellent service as a chain hotel but this was more personal. The decor was beautiful and a little quirky. The location for quick transport links was excellent. The cleaniness and the friendliness and the efficiency of the staff were excellent. A lovely little community was around the hotel, a super bakery, coffee shop, restaraunts and a place to have a drink were all within 100 metres of the hotel. I will be returning to Berlin again next year and the first hotel I will check for availability will be Art Hotel connection.

The satisfaction with ArtHotel Connection very much depends on in which room you're staying.

The first night we (hetero couple) stayed in a 'standard room' which was small, not very stylish and had a terrible (old) bathroom. From the second day we switched to a higher category and got room number 6. It was like entering another world: stylish, huge, clean, with a very nice (small but new) bathroom. Room number 6 I would prefer even over a room in Regent Hotel.

From the second day we loved the hotel, were happy about our choice not staying in one of the typically huge 5* hotels. The complete building, the old elevator and the very friendly service.

WiFi is very good, but the best point is the breakfast. It's principally served whenever you want. And at EUR 10 it's perfect, very good German bread rolls, a good selection of cold cuts, jam, honey, fruits and even eggs-to-order.

When next time in Berlin we'll stay at ArtHotel Connection again - but straight away will chose one of the good rooms.

Room Tip: Spend a bit more and take one of the better rooms
