“Great Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2012

In a great location for all city centre attractions. Opposite Friedrich Strasse station but no noise from trains. Lovely room with fabulous shower, friendly helpful and welcoming staff. Swimming pool very cold was the only disappointment. Breakfast was expensive so we did not eat in the hotel, but plenty of good cafes and restaurants nearby.

A well located hotel, very modern and still smelling of new; attentive and welcoming staff. Within walking distance (1km) of great monuments and tourist attractions like the Brandenburg gate, Checkpoint Charly, Boden Museum, Oranienburger Strasse, Alexanderplatz and right next to a main S-U bahn Fridrichstrasse. Hallways are carpeted, solid wood doors with great looking inlays; rooms full of light, wood floors and everything very well stocked and clean. No noisy neighborhood, fellow guests or any trouble sleeping (I had an inside court room). Pool and sauna with a decent workout station on the 8th floor. Breakfast was not included in my reservation but @16euro you can eat in abundance every morning. Great Place and very happy to be lodging here for business!

Room Tip: Inside court rooms 7-8th floor lots of light and peace!!

This hotel belongs to a Spanish hotel chain, is practically new, nicely designed and in the perfect location for a city break. Many interesting sights such as Brandenburg gate, Checkpoint Charly, the governmental district etc are all within easy reach even on foot. Station Friedrichstrasse is only 50m from the hotel and allows easy access to some of the attractions which are a bit further off (recommendation: Potsdam/ Sanssouci; book a city tour at Potsdam main station). For those into the "scene" the hotel is also close to Oranienburger Strasse with is where the trendy scene is located (plus tons of nice bars). The hotel's spa helps to cool down the blisters after the long walks you are bound to experience:).

If any downside needs to be mentioned, it is likely the pricing:) - but I guess it was costly to soundproof the rooms next to a busy station that well...

We arrived in Berlin on 28th June and spent 4 nights here. After a quick and friendly check in, we were given room 325 which faced the inner courtyard. No noise whatsoever from the nearby railway line. The room had everything and more than we needed. The bed was one of the most comfortable that I have slept in with good linen and nice fluffy pillows. Lots of wardrobe space with in-room safe. Huge bathroom with lovely whirlpool shower and nice quality toiletries, bathrobes and slippers.A huge bonus is the free 24 hour WiFi in the room.
Unlike a previous reviewer, we thought that the cooked option of the breakfast buffet was very good. We had the sausage, bacon and egg and it wan't at all soggy.
We could walk to most of the major sights, Checkpoint Charlie is around 20 mins along Friedreichstrasse, Brandenburg Gate and the Jewish Synagog about 15, and Museum Island and the River Spree is about 10 mins away. There are a few decent restaurants in the area-most of them in the arches underneath the railway line(we actually got to like the rumbling of the train as it passed overhead as we ate our dinner in the evening),there more eateries and bars along the riverbank. The Euro 2012 was on in everywhere and the atmosphere was fantastic. There is a large supermarket just around the corner to the right of the Hotel, and is 5 or 6 shops in. It's quite difficult to spot even though it"s right on the main street. It's called Rewe, look for the 2 escalators going downwards.Buy your bottled water here as it's so much cheaper than the tourist shops.
We had a wonderful weekend in Berlin and would definitely stay at Eurostars again. The only thing I don't understand is why this Hotel is almost number 100 in the Berlin Tripadvisor list. It is so much better than that and deserves a much hight rating.

We had a pleasant room which was very quiet in spite of the fact that the hotel was next to a major train station. The location was very convenient for travel to and from the airport and within easy walking distance of restaurants, museums and other sites of interest. We were a little disappointed with the breakfast buffet which some friends had raved about. It was much the same as one finds in most hotels of this class with tepid scrambled egg, congealed bacon and anaemic sausage as the only hot offerings. Why don't hotels of this class provide freshly cooked hot breakfast? Friendly service and immaculately clean rooms here.

this is a new hotel, right by friedrichstrasse station, and central to berlin city centre. The facilities are great, the rooms are well equipped, there is an impressive array of extras in the room and the hotel also has a gym and pool. It has wifi in all rooms as well as the lobby. Despite overlooking the busy station, very good soundproofing means you cant hear the lobby let alone the rail traffic. The staff all spoke good english, and the rates were very reasonable. Being close to the centre of berlin, many bars and restaurants are in easy reach, and it is a two minute walk to the U-bahn and S-bahn, so every where is in easy striking distance. I will be travelling to berlin regularly for the next year or so and will make every effort to stay here in the future,

Room Tip: There are two sets of curtains, dont do what i did and lay there the first night moaning about the l...

We stayed here for 2 nights for a short visit of Berlin. The hotel is absolutely wonderful: kind staff, big room witha very well equipped bathroom (we even had a whirlpool shower!). The room has all the facility needed and it's very clean. The hotel itself is really silent despite being very close to Friedrichstrasse station (we had a room facing the station and we have never had any noise problem).
Breakfast is a continental buffet, I find quite hard to imagine something was missing, as it infact did not.
Location is just wonderful: the hotel is just outside Friedrichstrasses station, so we came by train from the airport and we didn't have to make any train change with all the luggages.
All the attractions of the city can be reached from this hotel by bike or just walking.
