Myself and my boyfriend booked what was advertised as Park Inn Alexanderplatz through a tour operators website so we were fairly annoyed when on arrival we were told that we had arrived at the wrong hotel and that the hotel we were staying in was in Berlin City West. There was not one apology made in either hotel about the mix up. When we got up to the room we realised that the "double" bed was in fact two single beds pushed together, one of which was on wheels so the beds kept on seperating from each other. When we contacted reception to ask for another room with a proper bed we were told that all the rooms had the same beds. Wifi is outrageously overpriced. Breakfast average. Although the hotel is quite close to metro stations it still take approx 45 mins to get into berlin itself. Definitely wont be back.

The hotel is located in a calm area and quiet near the Tegel airport (apx 20 € with taxi).
A 5 min walk from the hotell you will find two different metro stations.
During our 3 nights stay we also found a couple of nice restaurants in the nearby area.

The hotel does not offer anything extra but it is clean and neatly with nice and serviceminded staff. You will for sure find something for everybody in the breakfast buffet.

but noisy (rooms doors very loud). WiFi not free and expensive. Location OK and free and easy parking in the street. Breakfast average and restaurant under par. I would not recommend it! I will look for an alternative for my next stay in Berlin. I have been already disappointed by a Park Inn in Luxemburg.

I would have given a better rating, but for the outrageous price for wi-fi. € 12,50 per day or 0,19 € per minute: daylight robbery. Having said that, it is a quieit hotel, the beds are comfortalbe, the breakfast was good, the staff on the whole friendly and helpful.

Stayed here for 3 nights in January 2012. The area, although primarily residential, is very central. 10min walk to Kurfuerstendamm. Several nice neighbourhood bars and restaurants nearby. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is maintained to a very high standard of cleanliness.
On the (slightly) minus side, my wife and I were on a rare weekend away on our own and as it was an anniversary trip would probably have gone for a hotel with a bit more of a "Wow" factor had we done a bit more research. That said, it's just a personal observation and is not a reflection on the hotel itself.
