Great location, great breakfast, lovely helpful staff, brilliant cocktails, good clean rooms - what more do I need to say?

Room Tip: The hotel is build around a giant aquarium (which is quite spectacular) and the internal rooms look...

I have been to Berlin many times and stayed at different hotel. The Radisson Blu Hotel is a great choice for tourists (and businesspeople) because of its location. It is between the Branderburg gare, the museum island and the Hackeshermarkt. Most attractions are walking distance and even buses pass in front of the hotel.
The concierge was very helpful and my parents - first time in Berlin and non-german speakers - were able to book tours to the city and even Potsdam.
The lobby of the hotel has a very nice aquarium inside, people visit the hotel just for that.
The rooms were nicely sized and modern, no complaints there. There are smoking floors too, if anyone is interested. We were in a non-smoking one and it did not smell like smoke.
I did not get the breakfast but my parents did so I sat with them, it looked just fine, standard breakfast buffet affair.

The lobby aquariam is an appealing enough reason to choose the Radisson. The perfect location, situated close enough to museums, landmarks and all things touristy. Rooms are basic, lacked basic kitchen provisions such as a kettle and not the most exciting room to sit in. Gym facilities are excellent and concierge was helpful.

As a scuba diver I couldn't pass up the opportunity to stay in this hotel. It lived up to my expectations. It's a really good way to show people who don't dive what we divers see under the deep blue. The hotel itself was nice. Although myself and my travel companion were not big fans of the pillows proviided. They were feather pillows and became very flat. We kept forgetting to get them changed. But I'm sure if we asked they would be changed.

I spend my life on the road facilitating meetings - from one conference center and hotel to another. SOOO, when a hotel does a great job of supporting the success of one of my sessions I like to be the first to say so. First, the obvious: the Radisson Blu is in an incredible section of Berlin. The Beliner Dome is right next door and the meeting/reception space offers a stunning view of it. The Brandenburg Gate is within walking distance as is the MItte district with Checkpoint Charlie and loads of shopping.

As for the hotel itself, the first thing you'll notice is the stunning million gallon aquarium in the lobby. I never tired of looking at it throughout our weeklong stay and you can sit at the bar and admire it while enjoying the nice wines and foods that they serve.

As wonderful as the neighborhood and the lobby are, the meeting facilities are even better and the banquet team which supports them is terrific. Ask for Andre - he was incredibly helpful throughout the week - kind, professional, experienced and efficient - a winning combination.

The rooms are nice, bright and incredibly QUIET! The beds were very comfortable.

The Radisson Blu should be proud of the property in Berlin. The hotel is very nice and of course, the lobby is impressive with the aquarium and design. Location can't be better with Unter den Linden and Museum Island as neighbours and all around you have nice sights.

Had a business class room which was very nice, I could expect it to be a little bit more spacious but it was very functional with all amenities that you need. Excellent turn-down service and overall nice decór and design. Nice view over the cathedral and Spree.

One of the great gems of this hotel is the breakfast and the restaurant. Service for both breakfast buffet (that is one of the best I have experienced) and the restaurant is excellent. The menu in evening is extensive and the food is good sized portions and comes with great value. I truly recommend you to have dinner al fresco in the outdoor setting. We had dinner here two nights because it was to our fully satisfaction.

I would like to put an excellent rating for the hotel, but I think the front desk team could try a little bit harder and working with their friendlyness. Not that they was polite or rude, they was just nothing... Furthermore I was not happy with the concierge service, they forgot to tell us how that we should exchange the tickets for the hop-on-hop-off bus in the counter next to the hotel as well as it was dissapointing that they adviced us a very shabby and not at all excellent restaurant. We wanted to visit the Bocca Di Bacco for italian dinner, but the concierge adviced the Moreno Carusi restaurant that should be much better and fill our taste. This place was a hugh dissapointment, both with food and the service. Not at all worth the taxi ride from the hotel.

However - the hotel is five star and got everything that you need with some exceptional good facilities and experiences and I will definitely return when I go to Berlin next time.

This hotel is really nicely situated in the middle of Mitte - where most of the interesting things are. The rooms were not especially big - and were not especially cheap by Berlin standards. If you book the business class option - you get the same room - but a Nesspresso machine thrown in for free (with six capsules, I can hardly wait) - and fluffy robes.

By far the best bit of the hotel is the fish tank - and reception is full of people looking at the fish. Having said that you can't actually go into the tank area (the lift that goes through it) without going to the acquarium - which you have to pay another 10 euros for.

Breakfast was pretty standard for a hotel like this - certainly not worth 25 euros - but OK if its included in your room rate. Reception staff were a little Germanic (ie even when they apologised it sounded like they were telling you off).

The spa was good - although I'd hesitate to take the kids - there were gentlemen without towels down there. The pool is big enough for two people - and I'm not sure what the reservation system was, but we were clearly trespassing.
