My spouse and I decided to visit the Fernsehturm just to get a little bit above the city we had been exploring via foot for the past few days. When we visited it was possible to make a diner reservation and not only get into the tower for free but also bypass the MASSIVE line of people waiting on the elevator. It honestly felt a bit like cheating. I'm not sure if that has changed since we visited, but if you are hungry then I'd say its worth attempting. The food and service were just OK for the high prices, but the views made up for the otherwise lackluster restaurant experience. We went up in early evening so we got to see the city transition from day to night, which was definitely a cool experience. I don't think that it is anything we would return to again, but its worth at least one trip up in my opinion.
