This is a very nice hotel, well decorated and in a quiet position, close to a U Bahn station. However it is let down in some areas. When we arrived, albeit at 23.00 hours ( we had warned them), we had to wait over 5 mins before anyone could be found to attend to us, with no apology for the delay. I had booked a standard room without properly checking things out and could not cancel or change without losing everything. The standard double room we were in is really a single room, with a double bed (albeit very comfy) in it and is very cramped. ( I called it steerage, but the decor is very nice). It is only really viable for one night or for a single person. There is very limited hanging space, space only for one suitcase, and to top it all, no tea/coffee making facilities. I mean, come on, that is something you get in budget hotels these days. The next size up of room has a little more space, but again no tea/coffee making facilities. You have to pay the price for their top Superior room to get a decent amount of space and a kettle. The breakfast is extra at 12 euros each per day, which we did not partake of, so cannot speak, however we did have an evening meal which was very good, so assume the breakfast food was as well. The bathroom was decent if still a little cramped. I would not have booked this hotel if I had checked it out properly first, purely for the cramped room and lack of facilities. I am not blaming the hotel, the information is there on their website and I should have used TA as well of course. Just to compare to our next hotel when we went to Prague afterwards, the bedroom was about 3 times as big (with a kettle etc) and the bathroom was the size of the Titanic bedroom.
The average mark is a combination of the good and bad points.
The lesson here was not to assume things like decent sizes or basic facilities.
But credit where it is due, I was impressed when I checked out and asked for a taxi. They just press a button and said it would be 3 minutes, it was there is less than 1 minute.

Room Tip: Choose a Superior room, if you can afford it.

The hotel is placed in a very good location, it is a 15 min walk far from AlexanderPlatz and 3 min walk from a subway station. The facilities were very good, the rooms were quite modern and clean, the bed was soft and was nice to sleep in. The only con i can think about was the breakfast which seemed a bit pricy, 12 euros, but in the end of the street there are 3 differente bakeries where you can have breakfast for a cheaper price.

The hotel is very close to metro station, the rooms are clean but very small. They dont have room service if you buy something they dont even take out the dirty glasses in the morning. There is no fridge actually there is no space to put a fridge in the room. The bathroom is small and they put shower gel in shampoo tube which is really annoying. Wi- fi passwords were cancelled twice while we were staying if you call the reception they give you another password quickly but without apologize. We expected a better hotel because we payed much more than the other hotels in the area.

Very close to metro station Stadtmitte and Alexanderplatz. Just 10 mins walk to Museum Island and 15 mins to Check Point Charlie. The rooms are a bit small but comfortable. It is very clean, practical, city hotel. The staff is very very helpful. We did not have breakfast at the hotel but as far as I can see , it was really good. We'll probably be staying there next time we are in Berlin.

High quality hotel. Good bar downstairs that served ok dinner when we arrived late. The rooms are nicely finished. Nearby the metro (spittlemarkt?). Place for breakfast close by if you don't want to eat in hotel (opposite Best Western, for memory). Supermarkets nearby too. Quiet at night, slept well.
The location is a bit far south of the action (but easily reached by 15min walk or metro).
Not many places to eat/drink nearby. Rooms really are quite small. Large construction going on across road, but rooms at back of hotel are quiet.
