Small but with enough information. Worth a visit. You find it on the back yard, entrance next to Starbucks

“A shame that they charge for entry”
Reviewed 24 March 2014

We must have stumbled upon the worst museums (or zentrums) in Berlin as they were cramped small affairs and mainly displayed loads and loads of text instead of imagery, models etc. This place was no excuse. I didnt even bother going in to the 2 rooms that make up this exhibition but heard about the exhibit from my wife and daughter that it was a bit "empty" (not sure if this is the best word). However, the visit led to my daughter downloading Anne Franks diary to her reader and this must be a good thing. So all in all perhaps not too bad, but dont expect too much from the hard earned Euros you spend on entry.

“Great little museum”
Reviewed 14 February 2014 via mobile

Visited on Feb 13 in the afternoon. To find this place, first walk to the Pan Asia restaurant entrance off of Rosenthaler Straße but don't go inside. If you're facing Pan Asia, the walkway to Anne Frank Zentrum is on your immediate left. Walk a bit through a graffitied passage with a cafe, and you'll see a mural of Anne with signs pointing you in a door and up some stairs.

The price for the museum is very reasonable and the staff is nice. It's a small place and only takes an hour or so to read everything. If you aren't much of a reader, I wouldn't go because that comprises 90% of your visit. Everything on the walls or on plaques is in English and German. There are a few artifacts, but the museum is mostly made up of pictures and accompanying info, quotes, etc. The staff can also turn on a 30 minute video for you in one of six or seven languages... but I did have to ask.

A thought-provoking experience. I always admired Anne Frank, so I'm glad I went. I will have to be sure to visit the other site in Amsterdam. A lot of items housed in the Berlin museum are actually on loan from the Amsterdam location.

By the way, this would be a great place to fly solo or with a small group as the place is small.

“Worth the visit”
Reviewed 21 November 2013

This exhibition tells the story of Anne Franke's personal life. Very educational, worth the visit. Lots of photographs and documents. You can understand a lot about war, discrimination and when reading certain pages, you can read about Anne's courage and her optimistic view of life.

Thanks for your feedback.

In fact the original diary of Anne Frank one can only find in Amsterdam. It was our aim to give your visitors the best possible impression of the diary. That’s why we got a detailed copy made, which is the centerpiece of your exhibition.

Nevertheless we hope you enjoyed your stay in Berlin.

All the best - Stefan
