We were hanging around the station waiting for a train and decided on the spur of a moment o give this Bavarian bar a try. Great choice the food was good and reasonably priced served by efficient friendly staff to be highly recommended.

We arrived at Berlin Central Station in the evening and we were hungry and looking for local food. We asked the Tourist Information and we were informed that no eating places around the station and suggested that we tried this restaurant which was located within the station. In fact Berlin Central Station is a huge and modern railway station with many food houses. Since we want to have somethings local we went to this restaurant. We ordered our favourite dish grill pork knuckles. But we all really disappointed with the pork knuckles. This restaurant is quite big but have very few customers. This already hints to us not to go in as we always bear in mind if we go to a place we are not familiar, choose the one that is most crowded. We suggest that if are in Berlin Central Station and already hungry, go for the many fast food in the station.

We dropped in to wait until the rain goes away and decided to enjoy some local hefe. The interior and the menu of the restaurant suggests very much to the direction of Bavaria. We decided to skip that part as we enjoy the deep Bavaria in our everyday-life. Instead it was a time for a local wheat beer. I took a "normal" one from the brewery of the restaurant and my accompaniment decided to try a Berliner Weisse. The normal one was ok, less sweet than the most wheat beer in Bavaria. The Berliner Weisse turned out to be a mixture of the sour Berlin-style wheat beer and a shot of juice making the entire drink completely green. The taste was... interesting, but worth trying. The service was ok.
