We booked the full package which started with a visit to the castle, followed by dinner and a concert in the Grosse Orangerie. An atmospheric evening with plenty of pomp and ceremony, letting one imagine what it must have been like at the former court of the Prussian kings and queens. The set dinner menu, was, however, not outstanding, but service and musical interludes made up for that.
Following the dinner we moved through to our seats for the concert featuring the Berlin Palace Orchestra who played music from Händel, Bach, Mozart and Vivaldi as well as some opera excerpts. The flautist, in particular was excellent and extremely talented.
Price-wise for us this was average as currently living in Copenhagen, just going to the opera or a concert costs a lot more that this entire evening of dinner and music at Charlottenburg!
