Owner description: Mosaic Tours e.V. is the only organization providing regularly-scheduled public tours to the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Memorial. All profits are donated to various charities. We have small groups, passionate knowledgeable guides, and are proud to offer a more personalized service - at the same market rates - as other companies to the powerful former Concentration Camp.

We contracted Mosaic for a private tour for a group of 10 high school students and 3 adults from the US. It was a very moving experience. Pietro, our guide, spoke fantastic English and provided great information. I was impressed both with is command of Sachsenhausen and Germany history, but also his diligence in making the experience relevant to our high school students. He was careful to share multiple viewpoints with the students and to explain how the kind of inhumanity that occurred at Sachsenhausen can, did, and does happen outside of Germany. It was very though provoking and he was helpful to the last-most detail.

We selected Mosaic based on TA reviews and it was the right choice. Everything worked exactly as described here and on their website - our guide Kate was easy to spot in Alexanderplatz near the queue for the TV tower. She was friendly and professional, making sure right away that we all had our ABC tickets and food and water for the long day. Her knowledge of not just Sachsenhausen, but also the surrounding town of Oranienburg was excellent. The tour was well paced - plenty of opportunities to explore on our own and to rest. Best of all, we were by far the smallest of all the tour groups we saw, making this a much more intimate experience than it might have been. Go with Mosaic.

This place puts everything in perspective and smashes reality in your face a little though! I think it's important we learn about the past to understand how we got to where we are. Very sad though!

The tour was completely worthwhile and positively added to my visit to the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp. I arrived a little early to the meeting point, where I met Kate, our trip's guide. While the others arrived, Kate was amiable and personable, as we discussed Berlin and living in a second language. Promptly at 10am, we were off to the train station, where Kate helped us buy the appropriate ticket. As we walked from the train station, Kate provided us context for the walk, which mirrored that taken by those who were sent to the Camp, through historical anecdotes. Once at the Camp, she continued to provide insight and contextualize what we observed. In addition to guiding us throughout the experience, Kate gave us time to ourselves to reflect and explore the areas. Overall, Kate did an excellent job both leading the tour and allowing us to each have a personal and unique experience at the Camp.

On my recent visit to Berlin I decided to visit Orianienburg and the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp.
I went on a guided tour with Mosaic Tours which leave from Alexanderplatz, near the TV tower. Our guide was a young man called Bryan who was very helpful in every way. He even helped us to buy our metro tickets ( which we should have done prior to joining the tour ) Bryan had a great knowledge of the history of the camp from its inception to the present day. This knowledge he imparted to us with great professionalism and respect. Thank you so much Bryan for giving us some insight into this sombre and dark place. I would certainly recommend a visit here but would advise that you go with Mosaic Tours as they are a non-profit organization ( please leave a tip to support their work as the tour only costs 15 euro ) and they explain the facts about Sachsenhausen with great honesty and sensitivity. Highly recommended.
