From Schönefeld we made our way to the train station. Very complicated and the train worker was not helper. After three trains we managed to get out at the right stop. I would advise a taxi. Arrived at hotel at midnight. Area quiet. Our key was in a hole in the wall which we retrieved by putting in a code. Instructions were very clear.
On entering the room it certainly had the WOW factor. The children were amazed. As were their parents. We stayed in the UPSIDE DOWN ROOM. The 'beds' were very comfortable and a little bigger than single beds. There is no wardrobe only four shelves which are in the hall of the room. There is Wi-Fi in the room. No tea coffee facilities. Breakfast is at an added cost but we choose to purchase croissants etc at the U-bahn station which was very cheap. The bathroom is also quirky.
Hotel is very quiet. Only seen one person during our 3 night stay.
Expensive but worth the experience.

Fantastic hotel with fantastic music in rooms ! Made by owner and composer. Hotel is situated near shops area. Every room is different and every is worth to stay ! The price for the rooms is reasonable for what you get. Between 70 - 115 euros . You will remember your stay there for a long time ! Breakfast costs 7 euro and is very, very delicious. If you look for something special and don't want to stay in hostel or standard hotel you should choose this hotel! I am sure I come back there on my next trip to Berlin and of course choose another room from the list of 27 courious rooms:)

Just come back from a four night stay in Berlin at Propeller Island. When you book, you are asked to give three different options, in case your preferred room isn't available. When we received the response, we were offered two nights in room 22 and two in room 24. Check out the website for pictures of the rooms - my descriptions won't do them justice. Suffice to say that each room is totally delightfully unique (and, it has to be said, some are a bit weird!) and a very refreshing change to the generic, faceless chain hotel. However, what I didn't expect was that the rooms were surprisingly comfortable, each with a choice of on-tap ambient music available to enhance this strange but thoroughly enjoyable experience. The staff at Propeller Island are a delight and very kind and helpful - a credit to the hotel. If you want a hotel to tell all your friends about and enhance your stay in Berlin, stay here, you won't regret it!

This hotel was one of the reasons for including Berlin to our Europe trip by car for the first time, and then when travelling again some month later to Berlin, we didn't have any doubts where to stay there.

This is really a fancy hotel in the center of Berlin for those couples who are looking for inspiration, adventure and new emotion in their relationship.

We stayed in Violet room, Mirror room and room with Hanging bed and every time it was completely different experience.

If you enjoy role-play, fresh environment and fun - this is definitely your place to stay.

This is the craziest, funkiest hotel i have ever stayed in. This place is awesome. 30+ rooms all different themes. Some are more tame than others. Do not miss the oportunity to stay in a truely unique and exciting hotel.
Special mention goes to the hostess, Valentina,
Always very helpful and perky at breakfast to start your day.

We stayed in the space cube as well. Its AMAZING! completely disregard all negative reviews.. They're most likely from older people who think "The Ring or Jaws" is the scariest movie they have ever seen. This place is so unique and every corner is interesting. Very sweet staff, Beds are definitely stiff but just as much as most places. The Bathroom was my biggest concern because no one explained it well..Its in somewhat on a plastic boxed room, see-though walls which is a bit inconvenient. The shower is a plastic garbage bag set up within the bathroom box. Not see though. Awesome hotel!! Not as inconveniently located as I originally thought. Just a few blocks off the S stop, a lot of food in the area. A+++ for propeller! Must see

We stayed in the space cube room. When I walked in, I almost chickened out and ran away. It was rather late and the darkness kinda makes this room a little too much. I'm glad we got over the freaky decor and stayed. When we were checking out, the hostess was kind enough to let us see any room we like. They're all different and unique, so no point in describing them, check it out for yourself. The Lions was my favorite if I had to choose.
Just for the record, rooms are very clean and service is very friendly.
