We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and really liked it. The hotel is in the suburbs of Berlin, but an easy 20 minute taxi journey from Schönefeld airport (approx. EUR 25).

Check-in was friendly and efficient and we both rooms that we had booked larger and better equipped than expected. The single room had a 140x200cm bed and a small sofa as well as a desk. The comfort double had plenty of space. Use fo the safe was free, WIFI worked throughout our stay, although sometimes a bit temperamental throwing me back to the log-in screen several times (may have been my laptop playing up). No need to pack your umbrella, the hotel provides umbrellas in room!

Very good choice at breakfast with cereal, hot breakfast, meat, cheese, fresh fruit. Position of the breakfast buffet in the middle of the access area for the restaurant/bar/wintergarden can be a bit awkward when lots of guests and staff are around, but due to the layout it cannot really be placed elsewhere. There is a well-maintained garden where you can enjoy a drink or even have a meal.

We had our evening meal at their restaurant three times and were happy with it every time. No need to order starters or sweets - free bread with dips was provided on all nights and little chocolate sweets appeared on two nights. Service was fine with no significant delays to the meal even on a night where there was a wedding going on in the wintergarden.

Feeling like chat with friends or private drinks outside? There is a large furnished balcony on the second floor and plenty of additional seating in the open area between lift and balcony on each floor.

Would I have changed anything? - Only thing: It was very warm during our stay, so we left window open over night. If your room is facing the front, you are likely to hear traffice from the road, but just close the windows early in the morning and it's sorted. Like most European hotels this one does not have air-condition (check hotels details in advance and don't moan afterwards, if that's so important to you!)

Tip for travelling on public transport: take bus 277 to Richard-Tauber-Damm/Säntisstrasse. The hotel is just 200m from the bus stop and busses run every 20 minutes to S-Bahn stops Mariendorf or Buckower Chaussee. Less than 45 minutes to from hotel door to Brandenburger Tor if you time it right!

This was our fourth visit to the hotel. We have family close by. The food is excellent and the service is as well. The surroundings is very warm and gardening. The rooms were very nice and comfortable.

Best hotel of my 10 day European tour. Stayed on the 4th floor with sloped ceilings in a Frank Lloyd Wright style. Room had skylights. Room was clean and appeared to be recently remodeled? Nice garden area. Good breakfast, friendly staff, and THE INTERNET ACCESS WORKED PERFECTLY (only the 2nd hotel in Europe I can make that statement).

Caveat, this hotel is not on a major subway line. Its best if you have a car. Though, its an easy drive from downtown. I wouldn't hesitate to rent a car.

This is a typical German independent hotel. Very clean, good break fast & friendly staff.

It's located in a quiet neighbourhood and is ideal for a business traveller. Probably not suitable for a holiday.

The rooms are a bit small and the bathroom was a bit tired looking but still spotlessly clean.

A surprise find in a tranquil neighbourhood! Just don't forget a few things ; book a parking spot when you come with a car, get a room on the backside..Other than that, service is friendly and the price is right. Standard double rooms are a bit tiny...Breakfast is good and comfortable enyoying it. All in all, a "homey" feel!!

Quiet location, small room for the price. Very clean though. Wi-fi worked in a sporadic way. When called the reception, he said it is "supposed" to work and he can't help more. I would not say the staff is the most courteous, but not bad either. I don't think its much value for money for such a small room in the outskirts of the town.. Well what I liked the most was the soup I had at dinner :)

Stopped here for1 nigh on business trip. Arrived late, yet restaurant was happy serve me and my colleagues. Has a very good steak in the restaurant. Free internet, and very comfortable bed, but very soft pillows. Was warm but pleasant night with windows open. No aircon which would have been uncomfortable if it had been very warm.
Next morning, good continental breakfast. Fast check out. Friendly staff throughout.
Definitely stay here again.
