Traveling with others is fun because they might suggest something we might not have otherwise done. This palace is one of those things, and we're happy we visited. We took a train to a bus to get here since we had travel passes in Berlin.
We bought passes at the old palace, which includes an audio guide and other parts of the palace. There's a free coat check so you don't have to carry items around. The old palace has a great history, and lots of artwork. Using the audio guide it will take over an hour to get through, but well worth it. The new palace we opted to just walk through and not take an audio guide. It was equally beautiful.
