Owner description: The stadium used for the Nazi's 1936 Olympics. Easily accessible by underground, this monumental attraction is a recommended visit outside the hustle and bustle of the city.

“Feel the atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 May 2014

Although a good bit out of the city the stadium is well worth a visit. It is easy to reach taking the metro and is about a 5-10 minute walk from the metro station. Admission with discount on our Belin Card (which gave us unlimited travel for 5 days for 37.50 euros) was 5 euros each. It would normally have been 7 euros. We chose not to take a guided tour and wandered around ourselves. We had access to the stadium and were able to sit in one of the stands and imagine the many historic events that must have taken place over the years. We also saw the former Olympic swimming pool which is still in use as there were some very brave people swimming as it was a cold day. Again it was great to imagine in days gone by the events that must have taken place in the pool and diving area.
The stadium was being prepared for a football cup final so not sure if there were any areas not accessible however we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

“Bundesliga”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 May 2014

We went to the stadium and had the limited ability to walk its grounds. Perhaps what was more exciting was to feel the energy during a Bundesliga match.

“Great tour. Full of information”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 May 2014

We did the tour and really enjoyed the information. The visit to the stadium was a highlight of our Berlin visit. Perhaps because it was different to what we would normally see and do in a big city. If you like sports and history you should do this tour.

“Historic stadium”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 May 2014

This is a large stadium complex on the outskirts of Berlin but it is readily accessible with the S/U Bahn. It is convenient to combine with a visit to Spandau.

The stadium complex is large and well maintained. The history and the architecture are impressive.

There is a self-guided tour which is available via an app which you can download from the website or you can just wonder around and take in the sights.

“Amazing piece of history”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 May 2014

Well worthy of a visit, the stadium and its grounds have been preserved in excellent condition and make for a very impressive sight. There's plenty of sporting history available here to immerse yourself in. The bell tower at the back of the site is fully accessible, with a lift up to the top - providing some amazing aerial views of the stadium and of Berlin.

I made a video of the view from the top of the bell tower - http://youtu.be/Ct0MSIFb20s

The admission prices when I visited (April 2014) were €7 for the main site, and an additional €4 to access the bell tower.
