Great, huge rooms, lots of light light, non-smoking.
Very friendly staff and good drinks at the cafe.
Coolest location. Walkable to sights, but also in a hipster neighborhood with a lot of unusual stuff. Not touristy feeling at all. Easy links to public transit.
We didn't want to leave!
Free laundry in basement, though the clothes dryer is very slow.

I rarely give 5* but Circus were by far the best accomodation we have ever stayed as a family. The location is perfect. Mitte being almost the centre of East Berlin. It's 5 mins walk from the U-Bahn. The staff were wonderful, friendy, helpful and spoke perfect English! Our apartment was fantastic. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and very large living area. Although we didn't self-cater, the facilities were all there. The weather wasn't too great so we were unable to take advantage of the slimline balcony! Electric window blinds, REAL coathangers and an iPad all made it the perfect place to stay as a couple or as a family (we have two boys 12 and 15).

Room Tip: Wagner was great. 4th floor and very quiet.

My partner and I stayed here for ten nights in May 2014 in one-bedroom apartment Müller on level 3 and absolutely LOVED it. We had stayed at the Circus Hotel on a previous visit to Berlin, and found the service impeccable. The apartments maintained this high standard, from the information sent to us pre-arrival, the welcoming greeting, and croissants delivered to our door.

The apartment itself was very roomy with a full kitchen with Zanussi appliances (better than our kitchen at home), dining table, lounge area, balcony, flat screen TV, stereo, iPad and lots of character plus style. This is not an anonymous chain hotel! The large double bed (queen size or king size?) unusually for Europe only had a double quilt, when many hotels have two single quilts on double beds. Reception staff were very helpful at getting my partner a second quilt and sheet to decamp to the sofa when my snoring became too bad.

I'm a wheelchair user and this apartment was not a designated wheelchair-accessible room. The hotel though had a step-free entrance, elevator, easy access to get into the apartment, room to easily get under the dining table, and plenty of room to get around the bed in the bedroom. The bathroom was spacious, with the shower over the bath, but good access to get under the sink and to the toilet. The doorways to the bathroom and bedroom were narrower than other doors, but just wide enough for my wheelchair.

Our apartment overlooked the street, but noise was never an issue, even with windows open at night. The apartment building is in a suburban street, but Rosenthaler Platz with cafés, restaurants, trams, buses and accessible U-bahn station is an easy walk from the building. A Kaisers supermarket is close by also for stocking up your kitchen.

The apartment has connections for a washing machine, but no washing machine. Free washing machines and dryer are available in the basement, and we used these two or three times during our stay without issue.

We paid 130 Euro per night, or approximately $AUD200 per night. This is incredible value for a large apartment and fantastic service. Without a doubt, we'll be back!

We came for a 5 days trip to Berlin, 4 siblings.
Even before our arrival- Lots of info and helping tips from the staff.
We arrived early so we had a nice breakfast in the café.
The apt. is beautiful, big, lots of light and space and everything you need!
The staff (with Johan the manager) is so nice and helpful, the can arrange anything you like and answer every question.
The location is perfect, in the middle of the Mitte, close to lots of transportation and lots of cafes, shops.

really the best choice we made, although Berlin is such a great city, we didn't want to leave the apt. every morning.

Just spent three weeks staying here - spending time in two different apartments. Really comfortable places, well thought through in terms of amenities and liveability - both with balconies overlooking the street. Staff both at reception and in The Kitchen cafe downstairs couldn't be more helpful and friendly. It really felt like a home away from home and we were sorry to leave. Marvellous location around the corner from cafes, shops (including supermarkets) and public transport - yet not touristy in any way but close enough to walk or short public transport ride to all the main things. Very quiet area at night making for a good night's sleep. There is a laundry in the basement which is very helpful too. Recommend this highly.

Room Tip: Overlooking the street makes for great people watching, you can see the bells being rung in the chur...

World class customer service makes this place more than just a nice apartment stay. We arrived on a chilly early morning to be offered a complimentary drink in The Kitchen. Our bags were taken up while we enjoyed our tea and coffee and then we were shown around the apartment. Ivi and Johann (the concierges we interacted with) have the knack of being both professional and courteous as well as personable and friendly. The apartment was large, stylish, clean and quiet. The apartment iPad was filled with useful information and the kitchen was reasonably well equipped with equipment. The location perfect for access to public transport as well as shops, restaurants and a park. The wifi was occasionally hard to access but did have good bandwidth. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend it to other travelers including business travellers.

We stayed in the Hartmann Apartment on the third floor of the Circus Apartments for 6 nights in April 2014. The apartment was brilliant for the four of us - me and my wife and our two teenage sons. The apartment had lovely large spaces, and was light and airy, and the balcony was a bonus. Magnificent apartment in every way, really, with good accessories provided in the kitchen and the bathrooms. The staff were very friendly and always ready to help (a special note of appreciation to Steven and also to Johann). The location was brilliant, in a very cool part of Berlin. Great value for money, too. The reviews were a great help in selecting these Apartments and they were spot on. We absolutely loved staying there.
