I have just had a very good weekend in Berlin at the Waldorf-Astoria.
Unbeknown to me it was the weekend of the German football league cup, with the supporters from Dortmund taking over the square (and streets) near to the hotel - but they were friendly!
The twin room was a nice size and the concierge staff were very helpful.
The hotel was very busy Saturday morning (with all the football supporters) but they kept on top of it.
A couple of negatives - there is only free wi-fi in the lobby area, and sitting there trying to read email whilst some drunken visitors (not hotel guests) were singing football songs, was not enjoyable. I hope the lady had a sore head the next day!
