A great modern Hotel exceptional room layout and design. Best location all of the must see sights within walking distance such as Brandenburg Gate, Topography of Terror, Museum Island, Berlin Cathedral etc etc. Staff great, breakfast room and offering great. Treat yourself to the best restaurant in Berlin, the Facil located on the 5th level. This ranks up with the top 3 hotels we have ever stayed in.

As said in many reviews this hotel is in an idela location for tourists right on the corner of Potsdamer Platz. We had booked the Business Exec Room and it was faultless. Separate lounge area - kitchenette with facilities including fridge etc. Mini bar prices and selection of drinks were pretty good value for 5 Star Hotel (4 Euros for a bier / 10 Euros for 0.5 bottle of Sekt) Adored the walk in wardrobe / luggage area where there is lots of hanging space for dresses / coats etc as well as all of your baggage. In addition there are other wardrobes and shelving for clothing. Large bathroom - very modern decor. Breakfast had a wonderful selection of everything from fruit options through cereals with many cultures / preferences clearly catered for> Breads / Meats ? cheeses wide and varied choice. Cooked options also available - very good! Then comes the word of warning which for me was the only negative but it is significant none-the-less in terms of the Hotel needing to ask itself - does it want to be a truly International Hotel accommodating many International clients with a wide range of cultures and customs or just a German Hotel catering for Germans???? There is a massive difference!!!! The ONOSpa on the 11th floor. Beautiful in terms of the facility - spotless and comfortable although no pool which was disappointing. However a very nice facility which was included in the hotel price (treatments extra). I was using the relaxation beds / getting a drink of water and was faced with a quite disgusting sight of an elderly naked German man strutting his stuff betewen the sauna and the showers! Then proceeded to use the shower deliberately leaving the doors wide to the world. The Spa staff (male) didn't want to know - gave me a lecture on German culture! Hotel Management were very understanding however and fully understood the issue so I give them a compliment for that. So even if the rules claim to say (we were not told the rules) OK to be naked in the sauna - some of the Germans take it a step too far - gross!!

Room Tip: We upgraded to Business and it was excellent value / larger and worth every penny> also located o...

We had a weekend stay at this hotel and absolutely loved it.The location is perfect for sightseeing. Located near Potsdamer Place, it is walking distance to Brandenburg Gate, Tiergarten, Nazi Museum, Checkpoint Charlie, with the convenience of a metro station, cinemas, restaurants and shopping closeby. The service was faultless, the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The room was large, spotlessly clean and modern, and we really liked the luggage cupboard, as it kept all the mess of open luggage in one space. We had a room on the tenth floor with a nice view from the balcony. The breakfast was great and although the restaurant was full on one of our mornings, there was a second breakfast room on the same floor, which was just as nice. I would highly recommend this hotel for location and service. We travelled throughout Germany and this was one of our favourite hotels and would definitely stay again.

We spent a long Easter week end, discovering Berlin. The mandala hotel is very well located, many locations within walking distance, and good metro connections nearby. Service was very good, staff very efficient. We were a bit disappointed by the room. The bed was queen size, and located in the corner of the room so can be accessed only from one side. Not very convenient for 2 persons. The desk and tshelves are large and take half of the room space. A nice balcony, overlooking the 'garden', but 90% of it is used by the Facil restaurant, so does not feel like a garden. Avoid rooms on the 6th floor and below, view taken by the same restaurant. We did not use the kitchenette, there are so many eating options nearby, from fast food to classy restaurants. Very good breakfast. Overall, a good hotel, but more suitable for a long stay on business than for a couple on tourism.

Dear Guest,
Thank you very much for your friendly and open words regarding your stay at The Mandala Hotel.

We are sorry to hear that you were accommodated in a Garden Studio as a couple. This incident is not appropriate to our high standards. Regrettably, there was a misunderstanding at the Front Office during the room apportionment. Thanks to your feedback our Executive Front Office Manager was able to train his team once again. We would like to apologize for the inconvenience this caused you.

Dear Guest, thank you very much for taking the time to evaluate your stay. Feedback like yours helps us to improve our service quality constantly.

We would be delighted to welcoming you again during your next stay in Berlin.

With warm regards,

I can't praise this hotel enough: clean, space room, friendly staff, excellent location (right across the Sony centre, 5 min walk from the Holocaust memorial, 10 min walk from the topography of terror), safe, amazing breakfast, well managed gym and spa facilities.... An absolute delight to stay there...

We didn't get a chance but do try the two Michelin star restaurant Facil in the hotel.

Had to carry our own luggages into the hotel as there was no bellboys outside to help us.
The room was extremely stuffy and 3 people told us different things when we asked for help. The first person we asked, ie the receptionist told us the aircon will only be switched on at night, the second person told us she will check and the last person told us aircon will not be on as they still considered it to be the winter. Therefore, asking us to open the windows to let cool air comes in. However, that also means we were affected by the street noises.
Our rate included the breakfast but the restaurant was too small. We were told to wait for at least 20mins each time, therefore we didn't manage to eat our breakfast 3 out of the 4 days that we stayed there.
On the other hand, the studio was really impressive with the big space. Overall cleanliness was good too. Location of the hotel was good, with the underground station just nearby. Sony Centre was also just opposite whereby we can easily find restaurants etc.

Dear Guest,
Thank you very much for your open words regarding your stay at The Mandala Hotel.

We are truly sorry that you had to carry the luggage by your own at the arrival. Regrettably, the bellboys were already on the way to a guest room. We would like to apologize for the inconvenience this caused you.

Furthermore, we are sorry to hear that the function of the air condition was not right communicated to you. For ecological reasons the air condition is switched off at an outside temperature below 19 °C, just the aeration and the heating is activated. Thanks to your feedback our Front Office Manager was able to train his team once again regarding the communication of the aeration system during the showing around after the check in.

We forwarded your comment regarding the waiting time at the breakfast to our Food and Beverages Manager and will endeavour to improve the process to reduce the latency. Feedback like yours helps us to fulfil the wishes and needs of our guests and to improve our service quality constantly.

Dear Guest, thank you very much for taking the time to evaluate your stay.
