The hotel was ok nothing special, the room looked very cheap made but it was clean and tidy, funny thing there is a phone in the room with a room service botton and if you dialed it to ask for anything you get someone telling you "we dont have room-service".
It is not very practical if you want to be close to the touristic areas although the underground is just around the corner.
the staff was not specially friendly, they were just polite! the hotel is cheap indeed and that is what you get too.

Have just returned from a 3 night stay in Berlin at the above hotel.

The hotel is clean, as are the rooms (which are cleaned daily). Despite being away from the main tourist areas, the hotel is only 100yrds from two U-bahn stations, Febhrbelliner Platz and a similar distance from Blissestr.

The area which the hotel is located in, is QUIET but safe. No problems from traffic or shady characters.

Breakfast is extra (9.5 euro's I think) but is wholesome. It consists of a self help selection of cheeses, meats, cereals, toast, coffee, juices.... etc etc...

Free internet and printer use is available, although this restricted to one computer only. So you have to be a little patient and be flexible with its use. But this comes in very handy for self check-ins.

Staff at the hotel are friendly and speak excellent English. A hotel safe can be used to store passports. Also the usage of a locker room next to the reception to store baggage too.

The rooms are of a fair size (we were in a double room) with modern bathroom applicances (apparently the hotel was renovated 18-24 months ago so everything is still in good working order).

Overall, a good stay. We paid approx 207 euros, which for a major European city hotel, is a good deal.

We spent 2 nights here in late December. We had booked online with the hotel about a week before our stay and saved 10 euros/night. Rate was 59 euros per night which seemed like a real bargain. We had never stay at an Ibis before but were pleasantly surprised. It had been recommended by a friend who lived nearby. Rooms were large enough and extremely clean. We felt the charge for breakfast was too high and found a bakery and grocery store about a block away. As someone commented, there are no facilities in the room for coffee, but it didn't bother us since we never travel without a small water heater. There are 2 subway stations within easy walking distance. We would definitely stay at an Ibis again.

Stayed here for 2 days after booking online on the Ibis website, paid 99 euros in advance on a cheap rate, no refund deal. I have to say that we were pleasantly surprised at the attention to detail , the funky decor within the hotel (the bathrooms are of the "pod" circular type, very modern and swish and comfortable, an fabulous all you could eat continental breakfast for 9 euros set us up for our full days out, we didn't arrive until 11pm local time but this was no problem as Ibis guaranteed the room until the following day anyway!!

Cleanliness was good, very friendly multi-lingual staff ensured that we had a very pleasant stay. The flight back home was not until late evening, but the hotel were very obliging with a left luggage facility.

Well situated, just 100 metres from the nearest underground station, which lay just 10 minutes from the central attractions.

Would stay again without hesitation if I go back to Berlin!!

I stayed in this hotel with three friends for a five day break ,predominately to visit the Christmas markets. Although the hotel is 2 star rating, it was clean , modern , and comfortable and served our needs perfectly. The rooms are a reasonable size, the bathroom quite small, but overall it is excellent value for money. The only drawback was no tea making facilities in the bedrooms, but drinks could be purchased in the bar area. The four of us tended to meet in there to make plans for the day., and have a drink later in the evening after a full day out.
The buffet breakfast cost 9 euros and are good, value with fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, hot rolls and croissants, cold meats, cheeses, fruit juice, tea and coffee.
The staff were polite, friendly and helpful and their English was excellent.
Public transport is excellent, Up to five people can travel in all the zones in Berlin for 15 euros per day, on the buses, overground and underground trains. It is clean, punctual, and fast. Individual tickets can also be purchased. The transfer from Tegel airport to the hotel on the bus and underground costs 2.10 euros each and allows up to 2 hours travel. You need to be fairly fit to carry your cases up and down the underground steps as not all the stations have lifts.
The city bus tour gives an interesting insight to a new traveller, and you can get on and off to take a further look at somewhere you find particulary interesting.
The Etheopian restaurant, Lalibela, around the corner from the hotel is excellent value, and the food is good.
Berlin is a modern city with a lot of interesting places to visit, and if you like shopping , this is the place to go. I will definately go again.
