Amazing breakfast, cool rooms, superb locations

Review of Hotel Q!
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 24 Nov 2014
My favourite hotel in Berlin due to its amazing location in central west-Berlin surrounded my great restaurants. The rooms are not very big but enough for what you pay and feature a cool design with free wifi.

THE BREAKFAST is absolutely fantastic. Food quality, friendly and funny service with selection of water and juices in the morning, tasty FRESH prepared waffles and pancakes will make me return again.

If you are a tourist that has never been to Berlin make sure to ask the reception for tips. West berlin is underrated with tourists unfortunately...

Room Tip: ask for a room facing the front and if you hear music and night remind them that they please...

This hotel is something special. Location is right in the center - though expect to use transportation between the different parts of Berlin as it is not a typical walking city! Hotel reception is very helpful in all aspects and the rooms are great. We have a room with a bath - which is as deep as a plunge pool! And just next to the bed. Rooms are clean and well designed. Will for sure go back to this hotel. By the way the hotel is just 25minutes by bus 109 from TXL airport.

Room tip: Go for a room with a bathtub as high in the hotel as possible.

The hotel is fine. The service was a bit indifferent -- helpful but unenthusiastic. The room was fine but strangely constructed bed was a bit awkward and the shower was almost non-functional -- certainly not without flooding the room. The hotel is located in West Berlin. There are lots of restaurants and stores nearby but it's not as pretty as East Berlin. There was train stop 2 blocks away so it was easy to go sightseeing. Nothing terrible but I'd probably look for a better place next time.

We spend 3 nights, to visit Berlin

Location - Excellent location, in a trendy area, close to the S/U lines, buses, and taxis. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, stores, and all types of stores within minutes from the hotel.

Rooms - Several types of rooms. I stayed in a small room (#504). I think I paid 100€ per night. It was big enough, with a queen size bed, a sink inside the room, a large shower, and a space wardrobe. I never felt any lack of space. The room had a view on the street. It was very quiet. The bad was made the German way, with 2 separate single duvets, instead of one large one for two.
All rooms have queen size beds. It is not possible to have 2 single beds in a room.
I visited the suite for another time. It is spacious, and reasonably priced: 250€ I think.

Bar - Breakfast is a buffet with a sufficient variety of food. A few private areas exist, separate'd from the open space by curtains.

Atmosphere - a DJ plays music. It is casual and friendly.

Services - The staff is really friendly, young, helpful, knowledgable and efficient.

Wifi - available for free to the hotel guests.

I highly recommend this hotel for a short or a long stay, for business or pleasure.

My wife and I recently stayed at Hotel Q! for long-weekend break. The hotel is well located near U-Bahn (Uhlandstr) and the S-Bahn (Chavigny Platz). The area is sophisticated and up-market and the chic design of Hotel Q! fits in with its area. We arrived several hours early but were able to check in and leave our stuff rather than lug it around. The staff were very friendly and helpful (especially Max - ask for him) who gave us lots of tip about where to go and what to try. The room was slightly idiosyncratic but was stylish and had a wonderful shower that was both hot and powerful. This was very different to the more traditional accommodation we stay and we were very pleased. We did not eat in so can't comment on the food. But we didn't feel any expectation to eat in either, which was quite nice.

Room tip: Average noise outside for a city centre hotel in a busy area - so not quiet.
