“Fantastic all around”
Reviewed 22 August 2013 via mobile

We were very pleased with our stay at Louisa's Place in Berlin. The location is great, many restaurants and shops nearby, also only steps away from the Metro. Our room was immaculate, very spacious, in fact the suite was huge. A couple of minor issues, although the beds were comfortable, the sofa bed was a little too soft for one person in our party so we would not recommend an adult sleep on the sofa bed, also there is no air conditioning. The lack of AC wasn't really an issue as the nights were cool so we opened the windows.

What really distinguishes this hotel is the front desk staff, to a person they were fantastic. All staff were pleasant, knowledgeable and very willing to help.

One of the best hotel experiences I have had and I will definitely stay there again next time I am in Berlin.

Love this hotel! Easy to get to from the highway, situated in a nice area of town on a big road with shops and public transportation to take you anywhere in town.
Our suite was enormous! Comfortable and quiet, complimentary coffee welcomed us at check in. One drawback: they charge for wifi. However, there is an ethernet cable if you have a laptop and usage is free.
Breakfast is the best part. A series of cheeses, coldcuts, yoghurt, fresh bread.
Kudos on staff, all extremely nice and professional.

Room Tip: Some rooms have a little balcony, but since you are in the city this may not be a plus. Our room had...

It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel, the hotel staff are very welcoming, offering a map of Berlin and highlighting places to visit suitable for us. The hotel is away from the Centre but there is a U Bahn (underground) and buses very close by to easily get to the many attractions Berlin, the nearest U Bahn station also connects to the airport with only one change onto a Bus. If you buy a Berlin ABC you get free transport across the whole of Berlin for one adult and up to 3 children under 14.
The rooms are huge and have everything you could want, a great lounge, kitchen (no microwave) and really comfortable beds with carefully selected furniture for the building.
There is no wifi in the hotel but there is a Starbucks within about 10 minutes walk which has free wifi, so no problem.
On check out, as we had a late flight, we were able to leave our luggage with reception whilst we visited more sites.
Overall, a very lovely place to stay

Room Tip: We chose a superior suite, which gave that extra space

Staid with my husband two teenagers our Son & Daughter in Law in 3 Suites.
Utterly perfect from start to finish. Totally would recommend this hotel.
Spotless. Beautifully decorated & Furnished. Amazing Staff (If only all places had people of this calibre working for them). Only down side was no A/C during days of 37degrees of heat. As an Australian - we can't just hop back but one day..........

We just finished a two cruise and decided to end the holiday in Berlin. Louisa's Place was perfect as it had a kitchen and lounge area that we could crash in for the evenings. Being still so cold, we knew we wouldn't be out late at night. It was just what we needed and the reception staff let us borrow DVDs to watch. They were all so wonderful with great suggestions of what to see during the day and what buses to catch. The bathroom was bigger than our cabin on the cruise boat! Would highly recommend to anyone and would stay there again if we went back to Berlin.

We had the pleasure of staying at Lousia's Hotel for a week. It was a great base for our stay in Berlin, while it is a little out of the city centre, the U station is near by and there are regular buses to catch. Would recommend buying the Berlin Welcome card which makes it so easy to get around Berlin and also gives discounts to tours and museums. There is no air conditioning in the room, but the staff soon brought in a mobile unit which was more than sufficient (noting that the temperature reached over 30 degrees on 3 days of our stay). The staff were friendly and helpful and indulged us by speaking good English (better than our terrible German). We did not eat in the hotel restaurant, but there are several cafes and restaurants in short walking distance from the hotel all of which serve good food. The gym is minimalistic, but satisfactory when combining a run with a work out, the pool (indoors) is lovely and we made good use of it. The room was delightful and perfect for a stay of a week with a lovely sun room looking out on the main street. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have slept on in any hotel. The room had good facilities and it was a very comfortable stay. Would highly recommend Louisa's Place and hopefully we will be back in the future.

we were a party of 4 and stayed in a comfortable suite -two bedrooms and a living room-with a well equiped kitchenette
the service was very efficient and friendly.the location is very good for west berlin altough a bit far from the attractions in central and east berlin.
a few things missing:
-no dining table or chairs if you want to have a proper meal only a counter with two high and not very comfortable stools not enough for 4 people
-no ac .it was very hot and stifling in the rooms.we were not told about the option of the portable ac altough we complaind about the heat.
we also needed to keep the windows open at all times and noise from the street and adjacent balconies was a problem
-we would also strongly suggest installing ceiling fans or at least providing guests with portable fans. It can change the whole picture
the swimming pool and gym are a plus but they are also not air conditioned and are poorly ventilated.
-the coffee machine required special capsules .we were not informed that they cost extra and only told about it at the end.
-extra charge for Wi Fi an establishment of that category should provide at this day and age free WiFi
other than that our stay was enjoyable

Room Tip: rooms on the top floor are quieter
