“Something for everyone at Original Trödelmarkt Berlin flea market”
Reviewed 23 March 2014

The flea market at Strasse des 17. Juni runs all year every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. and it's got a little something for everyone: antiques galore, old clothes (including used Lederhosen), lots of records, CDs, DVDs, but also brand new, attractive, hand-made jewelry, t-shirts, and historic memorabilia from the GDR. Even though they can't broadcast it since it's illegal, ask if they have Third Reich stuff and you will be escorted to a discrete corner of the booth and shown what they've got. There's even Currywurst and champagne and other snacks to tide you over. Easy to reach with public transportation and worth an hour or two of your weekend. Other Berlin flea markets seem to specialize, such as the one near Museumsinsel for books and art, but this is a good general flea market where you're bound to find something you like.

“A Great Place to Browse”
Reviewed 23 September 2013

A stress-free way to spend a few hours and find that hidden treasure (or at least a unique souvenir to take home). Old books, coins and stamps find their place amid furniture, clothing and area rugs. Patience and some idea of what it is that you are looking for helps. The market is located on the side street parallel to the Strasse des 17 Juni, just west of the Tiergarten S-Bahn station. It is open Sat/Sun 10h-17h.

“Only on at the weekends!”
Reviewed 9 April 2013

Had a bit of a nightmare trying to find it as we'd read reviews of it being easy to find, spent a whole morning only to discover it is only a weekend market! After returning it is extremely easy to spot, travel to Tiergarten on the S7 Bahn and turn right immediately - you can't miss it.
The clothes and teacups were of particular delight to a vintage lover like myself, managed to get some cool gifts for friends also. Be prepared to haggle, and don't let the traders rip you off for being a tourist.
