“Great accommodation and service”
Reviewed 9 July 2013 via mobile

Stayed here when we were in Berlin for a concert.
Booked direct with the hotel and joined up to their loyalty scheme which had some good benefits.
Our request for a quiet room was met. Check in was efficient and very pleasant. Our room was lovely, absolutely huge with a great big shower and separate bath.
Breakfast was extensive, many different types of tea which I enjoyed, good selection, pancakes cooked to order.
All the staff were polite and went out of their way to help.

Great hotel.

Restaurant out of the hotel on the corner, pizza, pasta place was great value for a quick lunch.

The Hotel Concorde Berlin is a well-kept secret. We stayed there on both sides of a Baltic cruise, from May 23rd to May 26th and again on May 6th through May 8th. We took Bus X9 from the airport to zoo exit and walked two blocks to the hotel. Very easy and cheap! The hotel is right around the corner from a main boulevard for shopping and strolling. It is a couple of blocks from KaDeWe, the second largest department store (after Harrad's of London). The hotel is nice, with helpful people at the front desk, especially Katalina. Michael, the concierge, helped us in so many ways. We were coming from the US on our way to Krakow and Budapest, and we left one piece of luggage at the hotel, while we were gone. Michael gave us the number of an agency (Air Express), who delivered our bag to the hotel from the airport, thus helping to expedite the transition. The hotel kept the bag for six days, until we returned to Berlin. We bought our hop-on, hop-off bus tickets from Michael, he gave us two umbrellas for a day of rain, and dealt with taxis when needed. He was a wealth of information.
The Hotel Concorde Berlin is a business hotel, but they were lovely to those of us who were on our own. They upgraded my husband and I to a 10th floor room when we requested as high as possible. There was free WiFi, but also a business center that was free to use nice computers and print things out. One detriment was that there was no tea or coffee in the rooms. It was an exorbitant price to order tea, which we did, from room service--very depressing! However, include breakfast with your stay. It is excellent-- eggs, omelets, and waffles are made-to-order, and the array of food is magnificent, with breads, cheeses, fruits, cereals, juices, coffee, teas, and hot chocolate really good. The staff in the restaurant was excellent as well. The bathroom was lovely, with everything you need and very modern and large!
Berlin is booming, and it is very large. However, it is easy to get everywhere from the hotel. It is right around the corner from the hop-on, hop-off bus. It is about three blocks from the metro and trains. We were able to go to the museum area going one way on the train and Potsdam going the other. The area of the hotel has lots of restaurants, one right next door that has good, inexpensive food. Another place to eat is the top floor of the KaDaWe, which is buffet style, with all types of delicious foods. Then there are restaurants all along that same boulevard.
We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel, and we would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for as high as possible--lovely views!

We had a great stay at the Hotel Concorde. Two adjoining Deluxe rooms for four adults. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The breakfast buffet is outstanding with excellent choices of cold-cuts, fruits, cereals, pastries, juices, eggs. I get hungry just thinking about the spread.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. I had called the concierge prior to our trip, and he prepared BerlinWelcome Cards for us. They were also very helpful in answering our questions and giving directions for any local services we needed.
I would highly recommend this hotel for a vacation stay in Berlin.

Room Tip: The Deluxe rooms are very spacious and quiet.

A great location that is close to everything. Very modern and clean and with the latest amenities. Exceptionally quiet with very thick doors. Decent views. Access everything by walking or riding bikes. A bit noisy at night because of the street noise outside the windows.

We made a two day reservation here for the last two nights of a week-long trip where we’d been staying away from the Berlin city center. Coming to the Hotel Concorde was a wonderful relief. One does not expect to need air conditioning in Germany. The Hotel Concorde has it, along with a very nice, well laid out, and very comfortable room. The room was very clean, dead quiet, the bed (a king, though it was a european style two-beds pushed together king) very comfortable, and the bathroom was great.

The location is nearly perfect: right in a main shopping district of Berlin (don’t miss the KaDeWe, about a 10 minute walk away), near to lots of good restaurants, and a half-block from a subway line that can easily reach anywhere in Berlin.

The Hotel Concierge gave us two very good suggestions for a night out, and the one we picked turned out to be delicious.

Their Internet was nice and fast, too.

When we return to Berlin, we will almost certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that faces away from the streets for a quieter experience. Ours faced the courtyard a...

Stayed at this hotel in December so this review is a bit late. Just thought i would stick on a few tips. The hotel is absolutely stunning, but it is also very expensive once there. We never paid for the breakfast and when we got there we were offered it for buy 1 get 1 free but this was still about £25, We decided to just use the Mcdonalds which is just over the road and actually very good as it is like a cafe and not the normal restaurant. It sells good pastries and awesome coffee. A pot of tea in the hotel also works out at about a tenner!
The hotel is very good but we just thought some things were a bit over priced. We would stay there again and we loved the pillow menu in the room.

Loved this hotel, the rooms were spacious and it is located in a very convenient place, minutes walk from the main shopping strip, walking distance from kadewe (def go to the food court level 6 and try some amazing German sausages!). Would definitely go again!
