Stayed here for two nights last week. The apartment is equipped with everything you need (hairdryer/iron/all kitchen facilities etc). The doorman doesn’t speak English, but I didn’t find him rude at all as another review has suggested.
It was very clean, and had enough space for 2 people. Would recommend the location also as its just off Checkpoint Charlie, and close to the underground station.

What a fabulous & cheap way to stay in Berlin, if you're there for leisure & a few days. We stayed here for four nights end of October. The apartment is fully equipped with all the mod cons of home (barring a washing machine & dishwasher) and a very large balcony to have a drink on at the end of the day. We'd been traveling for a few weeks & to have a "home style" stay, as opposed to hotel rooms, was marvellous. Would have loved it more if the apartment had a washing machine though. But having said that, the apartment is very clean, modern & in a great location close to several attractions e.g. Checkpoint Charlie, Berlin wall monument & many galleries & museums. (including the CurryWurst museum, for those who love the sausage!!) Room rate included wifi & for an additional charge there is secure onsite undercover parking. There is a doorman who will greet you upon arrival & check you in. There are many supermarkets & restaurants in the area & a particularly good Italian restaurant under the apartment building, that do great takeaway. One of the main shopping streets, is only 5 minutes walk away. Thoroughly recommend this to anyone who is planning a longer stay in Berlin.

Greeted on arrival by the rudest man I have ever met in my life. Made our stay really uncomfortable. 4 of us stayed here on a girlie weekend ending a 2 week trip to Germany on a low. Firstly the room does not sleep 4, 3 people at a max would fit so we did not have sufficient room. More importantly the security guard (no other options but to check in with him) told us to get out it was not a rental property even though he himself had checked in the first of our party earlier that day. He also thought it was acceptable to use his own key to let himself into our room uninvited. All in all it was an awful experience and I would not recommend these apartments to anyway. I booked them through booking.com and when I complained to them and subsequently the apartment block I was advised that they were not responsible for the security staff even though they provide no other options on check in but to deal with 'the rudest security guard ever' who has absolutely no English.

Absolutley recommend this place. We had an apartment with a balcony view across to the Checkpoint Charlie intersection on Friedrichstrasse. There was plenty of room for two and the kitchen was adequately equipped but let's face it, if you are in Berlin on a city break you are not going to be spending time cooking meals. The doorman was friendly and helpful when we checked in and the apartment was quiet and felt very secure [lots of card swiping to get in and out which was good]. There is a good little pastries and coffee shop on Charlottenstrasse to pick up breakfast which you can then enjoy sitting on your balcony, people watching and planning your day. It is a short walk to Stadtmitte underground and a pleasant stroll to Gendarmenmarkt where the chocolatiers Fassbender and Rausch is a must. Plenty of inexpensive eateries near the apartment including an Italian restaurant near apartment was good.

Room Tip: Get a front facing apartment with balcony on upper floors.

The appartment was excellent. Plenty of space, lots of light, a fully equipped, functioning kitchen. Big bathroom. The bedroom layout was fun. The appartment faced inwards, so no great views but nice and calm. But there were all sorts of small issues that were individually irrelevant, but jointly surprisingly annoying: when we arrived, there was no bed linen at all. There were pubes in the bathroom, though otherwise the place was clean. We had to pay for internet access. When leaving, the porters couldn't give us a receipt. We had to leave at 11, but they didn't want to keep our luggage anywhere until our flight. They told us to go to one of the train stations, but those were quite out of our way, so we had to lug our things about. Overall still great and good value, though.

My 1st visit to Berlin and to TopDomizil Apartments and certainly won't be my last. Before our arrival I recieved an email with directions to the apartment. easy ... 20 minutes from the airport. Joshua met myself and hubby on arrival an was extremly helpful with regards to how to get around. Apartment was great, good kitchen facilities, clean and a fantastic location you can actually walk to all the sites ie Checkpoint Charlie in 10 mins. Would highly recommend I liked it so much I'm booking again for next year/

My son and I stayed in this apartment recently for our first-time trip to Berlin and Germany. The apartment was in a good location, located in Mitte just off Friedrichestrasse, which turned out to be a major shopping street and near to the Stadmitte underground (on the U6 line - don't leave at the U2 exit like we did at first. Those subway stations are HUGE and you have a long walk ahead of you!) There is also a supermarket around the corner and a Kaisers (decent supermarket) 2 small blocks away. It is also 2 blocks from Checkpoint Charlie and the Martin-Gropius-Bau musemu/gallery - one of the most beautiful buildings I have ever seen.

The apartment itself was very clean and tidy on arrival with most of the basics you would require - (copious) towels, handwash and toiler paper in the bathroom; plates, cutlery and pans in the kitchen and bedding in the bedrooms. There was also a kettle, TV and DVD player, coffee machine, vacuum cleaner, ironing board and iron and a hair dryer. The apartment was a nice size for the 2 of us and the furniture was reasonably new and comfortable to use. The apartment was quite warm, which is good for some/bad for others I guess. A bit warm for us, but we coped with the balcony door open in the evening, but over-heated at night. This was during mild weather (16-18 degrees C).

Now for the niggles:
- the kettle and DVD player didn't work when we arrived. Nothing major since we aren't tea/coffee drinkers, but we did get a DVD one night and were disappointed to watch the player open and close randomly for 5 minutes

- there was no welcome pack or information about, for example, what to do in the event of a fire (surely illegal in the EU? It would be a problem in the UK), where to dispose of rubbish (our under-sink bin was a bit ripe after 5 days in a hot flat), where to recycle cardboard/bottles, etc. Basic information that would have been really helpful to our stay.

That's about it really. Nothing major, but it would have made a difference if everything worked and we had some basic information about the day-to-day running of the flat. I hope the management will address these points (I have fed back to them directly) and then I would be happy to give them 5 stars.
